too firm for me

As stated in the headline, the first thing I want to say is that this is just a pillow; it doesn't require the system that it's designed to pair with, and we don't own that system. It does have countered portions where the system would go, but that doesn't affect its general use as a nice thing to lay your head on when you sleep. So- as a pillow, it's really nice. We have gotten a few similar pillows at home goods stores, and it's just as good as any of those. It's firm, but also contours to your head type. It stays very cool and is durable. Having used it for about a month, I can tell you that there doesn't appear to be any loose seams or stitches. We do have it in a case, but it would probably work fine without one. This is definitely a nice pillow and far better than something you would get at a standard big box retailer. I would recommend it, particularly if you require a better pillow for head and neck support. Or if you just want to stay cool as the other side of the pillow.

Too thick and too firm

This pillow comes rolled up in a vacuum sealed bag in a smaller sized box. After removing it from the box and bag it assumes it's normal shape within a few minutes. The memory foam pillow comes in a removable quilted fabric cover that opens using a small zipper on the one edge. The cover is machine washable when the pillow is removed. The zipper teeth and pull are all very small and you need to carefully work it a little bit at a time to open/close the zipper. The zipper seems like it may be easy to break so I would be very careful with it. The cover is a bit slippery on the bed, so I put the entire thing in a standard pillow case.The pillow is very firm and I noticed a slight rubbery smell when I used it. I only used it one night as it was too firm for my liking. My wife has been using it since then and she really likes it. She also said that she did not notice any smell.
