Great tool you 100% need.
Great tool to keep an eye on the chain wear. The design of this item allows you to constantly monitor the wear of your chain rather than some of the more expensive ones that just let you know when it’s warn out.Small enough to take with you if you really need to and takes up no room in the tool box.Cheaper than most brands and easier to use.

Functional, value for.money.
Nicely machined tool, which indicates various states of chain wear. The design doubles up as a chain holder too, making it great value for the price.

Works for me
I did not buy this tool from Amazon but I want to write a review since I see some users complain that it does not work. I have tested it with 10-sp and 12-sp chains (KMC and Shimano) either brand new, 1/2 worn and very old and it does what it says: hardly fits when chains new, goes half way when used, all the way in when very worn. It is just stamped metal and a scale (rather than just 0.75 / 1) would have been nice but for the price it is better than the old methods (counting the links with a metal ruler in my case).

Buy this one
This was the tool for me. Yes there are other 'premium' branded chain wear tools and there are cheap-cheap ones, but I deliberated for a long time about which one to choose and in the end bought this one.Realistically it has the most function I will need out of one tool and it's convenient to carry. It's well made and think it will last a long while.

More useful than the Park Tool Equivalent.
Inexpensive, effective. With this tool its easier to estimate the wear rate of the chain, the Park Tool chain tool I have only has two measurement points and at its a bit harder to estimate how much longer the chain is going to last before its “fully stretched” and needs replacing.

Great lil Tool
Love this little tool! really simple to use, a perfect addition to the bike tool kit and doesn't break the bank. Helps make the decision to get chain replacement before its too late. Just Nice ;)

Do not buy if you have a SRAM AXS Flat top chain.
Despite the description saying that this is compatible with 12 speed chain, this turned out to be useless for my 12 Speed SRAM flat top chain. If you have a flat top chain you will want to buy Parktools’ CC-4 that is compatible with flat top chains.Besides the incompatibility for my use case, the product itself seems quite nice and solid feeling, and I would recommend to users with Shimano chains.
