Like this mouse!
Using this for office work, don't need a 'gaming' mouse. Fits my hand nicely, I like the construction, and I love being able to switch the scroll knob to free spinning to really speed through large scrolling. Have used various Microsoft mice in the past, which were fine, but I like the feel and functionality of the Logitech one.

Never be sorry for buying the best!
Had to replace my previous mouse due to response issues possibly due with the wireless signal disruptions in its connection. So purchased a Logitech B100 wired mouse for $7.99. But had been previously accustomed to a larger size mouse due to my larger hand size. Eventually purchased this Logitech M500 wired mouse for $31.94 and now am pleased with its size and wired direct connection. Should have reminded myself of my common decision making saying, “You get what you pay for.” Buy cheap and run the chance of becoming displeased, or spend more and get a better product. Another saying, “You’ll never be sorry for buying the best.”

Great mouse
This is my second mouse. The first one lasted about 5 years before is started acting erratically. I like how it fits in my hand and the controls are sensitive without being overly sensitive.

Clicky
Smooth, programmable, ergonomic. My only complaint is it is a loud clicker.

Works great.
I have used this type of mouse for quite a while.I do not care for the wireless type.I have tried before and the batteries died in what to me seemed like a very short time.I also kept setting them aside and kept needing to look for them.I will continue to use this type and brand.

Options/Programming software unsupported by OSX
Nice mouse, price is right, good quality, but unfortunately useless for OSX. There are two pieces of software for programming Logitech mice - Logitech Options (older) and "Options+" which is the current gen. To further convolute things, there's also "Logitech G Hub" for G-series mice (which I also tried). If you connect this mouse and install Logitech Options, it immediately tells you that "M500s is not supported by Logitech Options, use Options+". So their software detects the mouse, and the OS does too, but you can't use the old software for it.If you then install Options+ as it tells you to, there first things Options+ asks you is to identify your mouse connection. Great! Except for the fact that your connection options are Bluetooth or one of their Unifying Reciever dongles. You can't proceed past this - there is no option at all for corded mice of any kind in Options+. So despite using the mouse to launch the software and having the old version of the software tell me that "yes, I see the M500 but you need to use this other software", that software doesn't have any corded mouse support options at all. You can never get past the installer to configure it.After spending way too much time troubleshooting it, trying G-hub, third party software and having to install/uninstall/reboot/clean my machine from the half dozen different programs I installed to try to get my simple corded mouse to work with the company's required software, I gave up and just returned it to buy something else.It would be nice if it worked but as usual w/Logitech the software falls short and all of the extra buttons can't be configured at all. There is no reasonable support for it either, if you browse the Logitech support forums it's all just bot posts copy/pasting things like "did you reboot" and "open a support ticket, username_here".

Love this mouse
I use a mouse for hours a day. I need one that's comfortable in my hand. Don't need allot of buttons. It just needs to work.

I can move the heck out of the cursor.
Works great. I like the ability to switch between continuous and stepped modes.
