HOMETRONIX Electronic Steam Iron Press 63 cm 1600 Watt 38 Jet Stream [Energy Class A+]

I bought this specifically for sheets and duvet sets (I’m a bit fussy about guest bedding and it has to look just right) because I have problems with my back which makes it hard for me to stand longer than about 10-15 minutes at a time. It did not disappoint, it made a far better job than an iron. The only thing I would say is that trying to fit a duvet cover at the back of the machine to pull it through is very tricky but I got around it by doing them lengthwise. The price was great and it does the job perfectly, was delivered more quickly that stated, I would strongly recommend that you ignore the more expensive machines and buy this instead. It’s just as well made as the ones costing twice the price and does just as good a job if not better!!! It’s also easy to store, has steam buttons on the pull down handle which makes it easy to use. No effort, or pain what’s not to love.

I purchased this as my old steam press gave up the ghost! I wasn't sure if this would be a good replacement as it appeared to be a lot cheaper than most.I am glad to say i have been pleasantly surprised .It does everything it said it should,easy to use, and i am very happy.Yes i would recommend this machine

So much better than my old steam generator iron as things stay looking perfectly pressed, probably due to the higher amount of intense heat and pressure this can deliver whilst I’m sitting down and completing my ironing with ease. Put a movie on and ironing is now a pleasure. Yes, it takes time to do the fiddly edges of a few small items (like apron or pillowcase frilled edges), but I keep a small iron on nearby to finish those off afterwards if need be. My ironing comes out looking very professional - and a handy tip I find helpful is to wear disposable cotton gloves to protect from the hot plate. This nifty machine speeds up my ironing time and once you get the hang of it, makes ironing easy and enjoyable.

Difficult at first but practice makes perfect, not ideal for all items of laundry but what it does do it does very well.The whole process for each individual item is very easy and comfortable to do, nice that you can sit and do this at the same time

Arrived well packaged. Very sturdy and easy to carry. The instructions are basic and I have never used a press before so recommend watching some videos on YouTube. The water container needed some time for the water to seep through the small round sponge. When I got the hang of it WoW my ironing time is halved. Fantastic for sheets . Great value for money

I bought this so I could iron my new bed linen better than with my regular iron.It is excellent for the pillowslips but not very easy for the duvet covers.I can iron trousers easily and most of the clothing that I usually iron. It makes a very good job of everything it tackles.There is only one drawback and that is I keep catching my knuckles on the hot plate. I’m sure I will soon learn better ways to smooth items that I lay over the ironing pad!

This worked wonderful to start with now the wider end doesn't heat up and the steam buttons don't work. I've only had just over 1 month.

I bought this product to replace an old broken one which was virtually identical to this. While the new one performs as you would expect, it has one glaring and potentially extremely dangerous fault. The feet of the unit are made of hard and extremely slippery plastic which offer no grip on the worktop or table when the steam press is in use. I find the press slides all over the worktop or table and it very nearly slid off the table onto my legs/feet. Not only that, but due to the feet not having and cushioning added to them, the worktop or table very quickly becomes sctratched. My previous near identical press was fitted with soft rubber inserts in the feet which made it completely stable in use with no sliding around at all and no scratching of the worktop or table. I contacted the seller regarding this thinking it was faulty and hoping they could just post me some simple push in rubber inserts to fix this potentially dangerous fault but was told the press does not come supplied with rubber feet. So, the press itself works fine but is very badly let down by the lack of cheap, simple, soft, non slip/scratch feet inserts. Please be aware of this when considering this press.
