This product works very well

The cream does what it says — it hides some redness and smooths my skin. But for $45, I expected more. The tube is small, and I feel like I’ll run out fast if I use it every day. It’s not bad, just not a great value for the price.

This is a great product. However not as good as the discontinued Instant Fix by Lab Series.

Lab Series is a brand that has been in the skin care industry for a while. They have produced solid products for maturing skin and kept skincare simple. However, I did not like this product. I applied it at the start of my day as a light beige color. Aside from a chemical sunscreen, I didn't use any other product. I wouldn't have used a sunscreen if this product had spf. The night before, I had applied a retinol serum and moisturizer.Since it's the summer, my skin color is a little tanned, and I felt that it wasn't noticeable at all. Everything was dandy, until I blew my nose right before lunch, and the tissue had an orange smear - I imagine it's from the color corrector's oxidation. I rushed to the restroom to wipe the rest off. I understand this is essentially make up for men. I have used similar products to hide blemishes and I have had similar results. I'm just surprised it would happen for this product from Lab Series at this price range. This isn't a cheap product like E.L.F!I haven't used this product again, because I was hoping for this product to discretely cover my blemishes, but I don't think was doing that - and it was coming off my face too soon.

I love this “Lab Series Instant Fix Color Correcting Moisturizer Opti-Blur Technology” (on the left in the pic and the new formula is on the right) and do believe from what I have experienced using this as well as been told is that this is the original formula, before Lab Series went and changed it to the newer version named Lab Series BB Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 35 formula that is now being sold by others on Amazon.

Despite my initial reservations, this stuff made my skin look brighter, more even, and smooth almost as soon as I put it on. The moisturizer has a pleasant scent once applied. The moisturizer looks like a white lotion, as shown in the advertising pictures, and goes on leaving my skin the same color just brighter! I love that it absorbs fairly quickly and doesn't leave any kind of residue and doesn't feel heavy like you are "wearing something".Overall, to say I am impressed is an understatement! I would highly recommend this but I do wish there some sort of sun blocking capabilities. Hopefully on the next reformulation, they will consider adding this feature to bring a better value.

This lotion looks slightly off-white out of the tube and seems at first to disappear into my skin, but then I noticed it leaves a strange smudge of tannish color behind. I’m not sure where that color appears from, but I suppose that’s the advertised color correction. The lotion has a light yet rich texture and a pleasant citrusy fragrance.

I used this cream a few times on my face. The cream has a slight fragrance, which is not too strong or overpowering, and is actually nice. It absorbs well and easily into the skin, and moisturizes it well. However I didn't find the color correcting portion of it to be effective. It's basically like a makeup foundation for men. So unless you apply it to the entire face to even out the color, it won't be useful. Even then, some of the dark spots are clearly visible and don't become very light.
