Clever design lets you choose device's orientation
Water detector works as promised. It's a clever design that lets you orient the device in various directions, so it's easier to fit in certain spaces (like on the floor beneath low-hanging doors on refrigerators or dishwashers). Also, it avoids extending a remote sensor on a wire that some other products use. The sound emitter is in the rectangular "hole" so that the sound is audible regardless of the device's orientation. Kudos to the design engineers!

Sensitive, but not loud.
Very small and easy to locate near the source of potential leak problems. Sensors are very sensitive on all four corners. This is advertised as being 110 Db which is at the human pain threshold and equal to a snow mobile or motorcycle. It is not. It's pretty weak. Don't expect to hear it through walls.

No false triggers, can be placed on metal surfaces and in humid areas.
This water alarm has small standoff features, so you can place it in metal pans and on a bathroom floors without false alarms due to freshly washed floors or fog/moisture after taking a shower. Installing a battery (not included) requires a screwdriver, but the battery compartment is waterproof and the alarm will continue to sound even when fully immersed. The alarm is very loud, piercing sound similar to a smoke detector, and will sound for as long as there is water. The moment you clear water, the alarm silences. There is no delay, the alarm triggers as soon as there is water. I think the "360" means you can place it in any direction, so there is no issue that someone tips it over - still works in any position. There is no "ON" switch, it works as soon as you install the battery. Cool design and unlike anything else out there.

Great for Basements
These were recommended by a family member to place in my basement near a water heater or drain, so I would know if water leaked in places I don't normally check. They have been alerted to water by the alarm.
