These things are great & loud enough to hear even from the basement. I put these all over the basement & in my furnace hot water closet. This thing gives you enough time to get to the problem & shut the source off before to much damage happens. They are so sensitive that it picks up the moisture in your fingers when to touch the contacts & the sensor detaches with a long wire so you can leave the sensor downstairs & mount the alarm in a closet upstairs for even more protection. Runs on a 9v battery & i change them out once a year. Cheap protection for the price

It didnt have all the small tweakable things about it like another one I bought at the same time, but it is far sturdier built and I like the design better. I used this one in my basement, as I trust it a little more and it is very loud. The other I have under my sink.It's easy to use. It tested very well with water. It's small size and long lasting battery life made it nice and easy to use with little stress needed for a while.

I’ve been using for a month in the basement of a large home. Bought it for the sump pump area but first used it due to a toilet randomly leaking. Alarm was loud enough to hear it upstairs. Great product.

Purchased because my neighbors have two. Both our basements flooded last weekend and they had the alarm we didn’t. When a storm knocked out our power the sump pump was turned off. They heard the alarm and were able to start bailing water out. I had two inches of water in my basement. 4 stars as it could be louder. I will here it on the first floor but definitely not on the second.

I have seen from a life of construction, what a water leak can do in damage to a home or business, and these are helpful to find out early if you spring a leak. I put them behind washing machine, and under kitchen and bathroom counters. My washer leaked after I first started using the first one I bought, and we caught it in a few minutes of the washer solenoid leaking, so no damage, and I just replaced the washer to be safe.This is just to help catch a leak early. Great product and replace batteries and test them twice a year.

After yet another water leak from my refrigerator that caused major cabinetry damage and a mold nightmare (leaking for a long time without my knowing), I decided to take action after repairs. Installed this (with a battery eliminator) and within a week after my repairs, it went off and saved me- it was a *different* leak than before! It is very loud. I bought another one to place next to the washing machine, which has also leaked in the past (using batteries in that one).
