Speedy use. No hassle in removing lids

I previously bought this tin opener and it made opening tins a breeze, while it still works it is slower as the cogs have become worn. So I thought I'd get another one as I was sure it was ages ago that I had bought the first. Went to Amazon and my order history said 'You last bought this item in 2013'!. Well that speaks for itself. And even better, the price had reduced by £2.00. Highly recommended

Best can opener I’ve ever purchased!

Bought one of these many years ago and sadly it became blunt. Have tried other makes but this one is the gold standard so was very happy to find the same model on Amazon. Nothing else compares.

The media could not be loaded. Very lightweight, and durable. It wont get rusty in the long run. I really love how it cuts the can so well that makes it safe hold and to dispose.

Being left handed, I struggled with traditional openers and actually preferrred the old bladed type that used to leave the lethal jagged edges.That all changed back in the mid eighties when WL (later bought by Culinare i believe) released this lift-off can opener. I still have the two bought back then, and they can still open cans though the metal bits finally rusted to make them unusable for food.I had been using varying cheapo imitations for a few years, lamenting the unavailability of the lift-off original.One night i decided to have a look around and see if any new-fangled can openers were on the market to relieve my opening stresses. Imagine my complete and utter delight, when fairly high up on my search list, was a link to these babies here on Amazon. I pulled the trigger without hesitation and waited impatiently for delivery.The day came, I unpacked the opener and decided to have beans-on-toast for lunch. I was bricking it! What if the openers were a pale imitation of the original? I positioned the opener on the lip of the can and closed the handle. It bit into the side of the can like a good 'un. I turned the knob and the can opening progressed smoothly.This baby appears to be almost identical to the original - cosmetic differences only. Regular use has proved it durable too. I wish they dod them in different colours like the originals, but as long as they stay availalble I will be happy - may buy a second just in case.Get one whichever hand you use. They make opening cans a pleasure.

Leaves a very very sharp tin when the top is removed! Could cut someone very badly!
