Q: Where in my bmw do i plug this cable?

It plugs into the 16 pin obd port where you would plug a fault code reader into the 16 pin port should be near the throttle pedal the other end of the lead will plug into your laptop to enable reprogramming of control modules or Ecu etc

Q: Can you use this on a e70 x5?

Hi. It’s a standard OBD2 cable so should connect to the vehicle. I’m not familiar with any software protocols that BMW implement into their software but I would say yes it would work as it’s a pretty standard communication cable. I’ve only used on Jaguar and Land Rover and it works great.

Bought for a G01 BMW X3

I needed this cable to support my Bimmercode app on my iPad.It also requires a RJ45 to lightning adaptor (bought on fleabay) to connect to the iPad but it works spot on for coding.Super quick coding compared to the bluetooth connection I used on my older F series BMW.Qk delivery and works spot on.

Great cable and quality

Much better than other cable I bought from bcables.com that didn't work at all and said they would refund which they never did. This one worked straight away!

Tried 2, Neither worked - Ethernet end never clipped into place properly.

Have now tried 2 of these cables and have sent both back for a refund.Both times the cables didn’t make a connection and the Ethernet end of the cables didn’t click into place properly and could be pulled straight out.
