Kwikee32 Series Electric Step Assembly with Logic Control Unit and Power Switch Kit for RVs and Travel Trailers

These steps were to replace the front door steps on our bus that refused to be retracted any longer. They were a bit expensive but our property manager who lives on the property was once a mechanic and installed them for us. He did an awesome job and the steps are absolutely fabulous. They work freshened up the look of our black, red and gold bus! Very happy with this purchase. I highly recommend these!

Awesome fit. Easy to install myself and the wiring was accurate to basically plug and play. Solid replacement for worn out and dangerous original equipment.

They fit my RV and work great, They were fairly easy to put on and huck up, work like new,They came on time,

the metal chassis looks to be the same weight and strength as the original 23 year old unit. I had to drill holes to get it to match up with original bolt pattern but suspect the coach manufacturer did the same to match coach bolt pattern. Motor style and controller has changed. tested the magnet trigger switch and it was the same as original. but, the lock out switch signal has changed. Now with power supplied to the white wire the steps locks into position even with the ignition on. I had to cut the white wire on the coach side to get it to operate correctly. Wired a red wire power switch to get it to lock out correctly. It won't cycle when the ignition is turned on. Now have to make sure the power switch is on when I move the coach. could have put in the instructions to just cut the white wire, would have saved me 2 hours of trouble shooting and circuit tracing.

The stairs in our Rv died so we'd have to zip tie them up and then cut the zip tie off when we parked which was a real pain so we got these. I thought we should just get a new motor...but what do I know! As usual, nothing fits like the original installation. Had to drill a few new holes to install but it was worth it. They work smoothly going in and out and the lighting under them is nice at night.

While the product description states 8x22 inches mounting hole pattern it also has a 8.75 x 22 inches mounting hole pattern. Note the six mounting holes in the product photos. This matches my old series 32 steps which used the 8.75 inch pattern in my application. The light and control connectors mated perfectly with my existing series 32 connectors,

I used this as a replacement for my older kwikee 28 series one-step model, and it was a perfect fit. I needed to have two steps as we lifted the camper for higher clearance in boondocking situations and one step was just too high. I was told by numerous people, including another retailer that the bolt pattern would be different and I would need to drill new holes. In fact, the new step has multiple bolt patterns, including the 6-1/2 inch pattern that matches the older step. Install was pretty straightforward for anyone with some basic tool skills. Biggest issue is the weight of the step and the logistics of getting it lined up and setting the bolts. Most recommend using a jack. We actually ended up just having one strong person lift it into place while the other set the bolts. Turned out to be quicker than expected on that front. But it IS heavy and definitely a two-person job. The electrical hookups were a direct swap for the old ones and if I had needed to wire it from scratch, everything was included. Watch a YouTube video for help.The step itself is smooth functioning and a lot quieter than the older step. Super happy with the swap and would recommend biting the bullet and making the purchase. I hemmed and hawed about it for a few months and even looked into getting a step add-on for my old one. In the end, I’m way happier with this and I think it will more than pay for itself in convenience over the years.

Came with everything to replace my old set of power steps. They work great, hopefully they don’t start rusting too soon. This is my third set in 7 years.
