This product could have been great. When it works, the camera quality and features are genuinely impressive. But unfortunately, all of that is completely overshadowed by the app and support experience, which is honestly a disaster.After a few updates, the app simply stopped connecting to the dash cam — no matter what I tried. I contacted customer support, hoping for a solution, but all I got was a mindless loop of copy-paste replies telling me to “reset your phone,” “reset the device,” “forget the Wi-Fi,” and “try again.” I followed every single instruction, multiple times, on different phones, across different app versions and regions — nothing works.Support feels like talking to a robot, endlessly repeating the same useless advice without ever addressing the actual issue. At this point, I genuinely don’t know if the problem is with the app or if the device is just broken, and frankly, I’m tired of wasting my time figuring it out.A product this expensive should not rely on such a fragile and poorly supported app. Deeply disappointing.

Awesome bit off kit! Was a bit stressful setting it up but finally got there! Would definitely recommend it

This is the dashcam i was recommended to buy and it was professionally fitted - if you're going to buy this product spend extra on getting it installed professionally as it will retain it's value if you opt to sell on your car with this installed

My installer recommended this dashcam, and it looks good in the car, but is really fiddly to use. The app it comes with is terrible. I still don't know if it's recording my journeys and it isn't very clear how to look at my files.Someone cut me up the other day and I wanted to go back through my recording after my journey to revisit it, but it was too fiddly.

No car charger and adhesive cable holder in the box

Got this dash cam because it was recommended by a driving instructor but I wish I hadn't bought it. Firstly, why do I need two apps for this? Utterly ridiculous! The setup was also horrendous and both me and my partner are technically adept but it took us nearly an hour to set the thing up. Both apps show the videos but they take forever and a day to load. Also note that the WiFi features require a permanent connection, so unless my phone is in hotspot range of the car I can't even use the live view when it's parked in the driveway. Honestly finding it very difficult to recommend this dash cam.

Great dash cam with easy to use app.My only problem is, it says it supports WiFi so you can see what the dash cam sees when you are away from the car.What it doesn't say you need a constant hotspot to use it which means a second sim card which you have to pay for.That's why 4 stars and not 5. I wish I had known this. I would have got a cheaper one.

This cam is fantastic for its image quality. 4k cams for some reason have issues with clarity. Its almost like 4k is visual overkill for fast moving capture. The 2 k approach of this cam is bang on the mark for the quality! I am sure Thinkware must have realised this fact! The only issue I have is the fact that for my purposes (YouTube videos) its annoying that all the video clips are saved in 1 minute segments! I am forced to import them all separate and combine them in my editing software timeline! But with Filmora the import pain is minimised so all is good! This cam also allows parking monitoring for impacts too. It also warns you of speed cameras and mobile speed cameras. But, I turned this off because it beeps every time it finds one to tell you about! That's not helpful for my YouTube experience! All in all this is a great cam and I highly recommend it!
