Lyme Disease..... I wrote that first so anyone thinking of getting this for that reason will notice it quickly. I have Lyme and probably have had it for many years before being diagnosed. I have had many symptoms....fatigue, joint problems....but the biggest, most debilitating symptom has been my skin problems. I won't go into tons of details but 6 years ago I started getting sores that wouldn't heal, felt like I was being stung by bees, felt like I had ants crawling under my skin and had the creepy fibers coming out of the sores and skin. I know, it sounds like I'm out of my gourd and delusional. But I'm not. Luckily they have discovered that the fibers are actually excess keratin that is formed because of the Lyme bacteria and the fungal problems that come along with the disease. Of course they don't have a treatment for this symptom....or so my doctor tells me. The problem is, the medical "professionals" did diagnose me as delusional....which made things so much worse. I have always been healthy but when I needed help, I couldn't get it. I've been dealing with this on my own. Somewhere along the way, just recently, I read that Infrared saunas help a lot with Lyme.....because the bacteria hates heat. At the same time I read that a product called Banderol also helps to drive out the bacteria. It should be combined with other meds that you can only get through a doc.....but my doc refuses to prescribe them. So I decided to try the sauna and Banderol on my own. I have to say, I do notice an improvement! I have a lot less sores and only once in a while do I get tingles under my skin. I'm so glad I found this sauna! I was just about to invest in one that is over $1000 but found this one. I figured I would try this out and if it worked well I would invest in a larger, wooden one in the future. This one has already paid for itself. I can use it as many times as I want, for as long as I want and don't have to pay $20 or more each time. No, it's not the most comfortable thing to use but it's worth it in the end. I have figured out how to position myself so I can tilt my head back, with a towel tucked into my neck and feel relaxed. I do recommend getting this one...because of the little extraroom you get and for the more comfortable chair that comes with it. It DOES get hot! I don't know if it actually gets to 150 degrees but it's darned close! I preheat it for at least 5 minutes before getting in. For me....because I don't sweat that easily.....I have to stay in for at least an hour to get things going. The whole second half hour is spent just sweating like crazy. The first time I used it I was shocked that the 2 towels I had with me, one to sit on and the other to wipe off with felt like I had used them both after going swimming! I keep my socks on and they were as wet as they are when you take them out of the washer after being spun out. Because I want my head and face to sweat as much as possible, I will cover my head with a towel.....just to trap in as much heat as I can. The sweat just pours out of you! So, if you are really in need of this kind of treatment and aren't sure if it will work.....this sauna is definitely worth trying. If it doesn't work then you haven't wasted a lot of money. Like I said before, it will pay for itself in about 12 to 15 uses. Another reason I like having it is that I can go directly to the shower at home.....which is definitely a necessity! Also, after using it you sometimes feel a bit woozy.....which is to be expected. The last thing I would want to do is have to drive home feeling that way! All around, I am so glad that I got this sauna and it seems to be working as described.

I can't believe this thing exists. Amazing sauna. Ridiculously good price for what you're getting. I'm able to get the experience and cardiovascular benefits of an industrial gym sauna... from my STORAGE ROOM lol.I have lost so much fat and gained so much cardiovascular ability, just using this one to two times a day for a couple weeks. I play basketball and usually have really bad conditioning; after using this, I'm playing like I did a decade ago.It's not a miracle cure, but studies have shown that 30 minutes of sauna can be a substitute for the equivalent in moderate cardiovascular exercise, in both cardiovascular function and calorie burning. If you're like me and have a hard time doing cardio, this helps. Who doesn't like to burn calories while watching TV shows? It's also very meditative for me.Here are some pro tips that have helped me with this excellent product:1.) I preheat for 15 minutes, but it honestly does most of the heating in 5 minutes. Incredible, efficient tech. Infrared Tech is amazing. Barely uses electricity, too. After preheating, make sure to turn the time back to the desired time, as it only does 30 minutes at a time, Max. Add time, as needed, before it runs out.2.) I put a towel on the chair (it comes with a nice chair), and another towel on the ground where you put your feet. This prevents excess sweat from getting all over the sauna.3.) wrap a towel around your neck, THEN zip up the sauna. This will allow it to hit the advertised 150°, maybe more at times. Also, don't use the arm holes EVER, unless you need to check the time real quick. All those things allow the heat to escape. BE REALISTIC. This thing won't hit 150° if you're opening it. I've check with a thermometer, and it definitely can hit 150° if you're doing these things right.4.) make sure to hydrate before and after and take electrolytes if you use it excessively, like me. Just common sauna knowledge.

Let's be honest, the hardest part of a weight cut is being in the sauna. Just already miserable and being stuck in a hot room, breathing in hot air, really drains the mind too. We had a comedy of errors during our last weight cut and showed up 2 pounds overweight on the scale. Someone had one of these luckily and allowed us to use it, 40 minutes later he made weight, went on and won his fight. I bought one that day and now we use it for jiu jitsu tournaments as well to cut a stubborn pound and you can watch tv, even send a text if you have to through the hand area zipper holes and pouch. I got the two year warranty just because anything electrical always has a chance to fail, but if it goes after two years I'll buy another one, well worth it. Super lightweight as well, heaviest part is the chair and if it bothered you that much they make smaller stools as well. Couldn't recommend enough.
