great gift for husband, has good light , durable, light last bright light

I bought this as a silly stocking stuffer— a ‘cool gadget.’ That’s how it was received- with a chuckle. Then it saved the day a few weeks later, finding a tiny nut under some garage stairs.Fast forward and the recipient LOVES it, and considers it an indispensable part of his tool bag. Best stocking stuffer ever. It’s located and grabbed many dropped screws and little metal parts, and the flashlite, though not great, is good enough to light nooks and crannies.

I bought this for my husband and sons for a stocking stuffer a few years ago, and have been extremely happy with how useful it has been. My husband uses the magnet on his when doing hard to see repairs and keeping track of screws, etc. on small projects. Since I borrow it so often for my own projects, I finally got around to getting one for me. The magnet makes it very helpful as an extra light on little projects, and the extension makes it easy to check in small or angled spaces. It's quite bright and the batteries hold up well.

Deducted 1 star because the magnetic pick up tool with flash light is broken. The flashlight doesn't work.

I have bought several of these for gifts. They are perfect for working on equipment when you need to bend around to see. The battery life is really good and the magnetic function works great too!

These delivered as promised and are a decent build quality. The only issue is that the light on the rectangular mirror do not work. Tested the batteries and they are good. Not a game changer but they did not work out of the box. All the other lights in the kit work fine. Once I get a chance to try another set of batteries I will update the review. I want to double check to see if the nominal voltage of the batteries is high enough. They were the only ones in the kit to not have a protective layer you need to remove to make it work.
