An innovative new way to run a business
First, I must say that People Operations is written in a really easy to read and conversational manner which is truly enjoyable. Not only do Jay, Kevin, and Tracy walk through how the world of work is changing, but also paint a nice backstory of why things are changing and the most important part, how to adapt. The main part of the book discusses moving away from the concept of "HR" and into "People Operations" and why this is so important. I don't want to ruin it so won't say any more but this is totally worth a read if you're thinking of starting a business, already run a business, manage any people, and of course if you are on an HR or People Operations team.

A Paradigm Shift of HR
This book is a must have for any People Operations, Executive, or HR Professional! The paradigm of how people work has shifted over the last few years and companies are in a war for talent. To retain your most important asset as a business (your employees), you need to "leverage a systematic process for encouraging employee engagement, adjust the business, and measure outcomes." Robust HRIS technologies assists with that, but ultimately, a company's leadership needs to understand what People Operations truly means. If you are looking for a guide to position your business for this new world of work, you will not be disappointed with this book.

No Revelations, Only For ABSOLUTE HR/People Ops Beginners
Enjoyed the book, but was certainly disappointed at how entry level it was. I would highly suggest this for first time HR/People Ops professionals, or people transitioning into the field. For those who have been in the field for even 2-3 years, I would encourage you to find a much more intricate book when it comes to strategizing and building real plans to grow and scale as a people ops org into the future. Also, not sure if this is consistent throughout all copies, but I found many, many writing errors - was a little embarrassed how often I found them. Doesn’t seem like editing was done properly unfortunately.
