Fantastic!
These are fantastic! Fit nicely in narrow spots. Helps train the cats to stay off of places they either can get hurt or damage property. I need more. Bring them back!

The only thing that worked!
The only thing that has stopped my cat from peeing on the furnitureWe tried all the sprays. Different clothes, deep cleaned it several times and nothing worked!!This just lays out and does what it needs to! I highly recommend to anyone who is having a hard time keeping their cat off!

One of the best things I've ever bought
I decided to try this for my sofa despite the mixed reviews but I'm so glad I did! My 10 yr old German Shepherd has always been a relentless diva so I really didn't think it would deter her, I was WRONG! I just wanted one place in my house where I could sit down and not be covered in her hair. I'm ordering 2 more for my chairs. Shock/vibration is not bad even on the strongest setting ( I tried it) but enough to deter my diva, 1 time! She literally throws her head to the side when told no, hence the nickname :) Buy it!!

Works well
We’ve been using scat mats for a while now to corral our dogs. This one works as expected and keeps our potty training puppy off the couch when she isn’t supervised. Minus one Star because I find it hard to turn on and off.

training mat achieved desired results
I have two senior cats, one of which developed a bad habit of very randomly leaving a "lago amarillo" surprise on one of our couches in the living room. I tried to break the the little furball's habit by adding pet-safe couch covers and then piling boxes and other obstacles to keep her off these 'couches of her desire'.After a few months, the habit was unchanged so I ordered three of the PetSafe ScatMat Indoor Training Mats (60 in X 12 in) for each couch in my living room. It only took one 'shock' for the little fur monkey to make the association and the law was understood from that point on. Cat brains are pretty smart in that way.So now the cats stay off the couches except when allowed when we are in the room watching TV. The balance of good and evil has been restored, and now the sock monkeys are well behaved... we have had no further incidents. The battery life seems to be fine. The mats have been on pretty much 24/7 for about a month now and are not showing signs of battery weakness. It has several modes of operation and shock levels. I have only needed one mode. The mats are flexible, seem durable, well designed. The mat electronics seem to calibrate sensitivity when first powered up.When I received the I first tried it out on myself to see how quickly it detects the presence on the mat and the shock discomfort. I think lowest setting is probably adequate for most cases.Sorry, but I have no video of the pet reaction, it was pretty uneventful and was not intended as a way to prank the pet (laughing at them undermines the lesson which might result in an act of revenge .. they are smart in that way). With the first encounter with the mat there was just a slightly surprised jump and WTF moment and that was it. I could see a mental note was made "Never return to this couch again, there is bad magic there."Anyway, I recommend this product for training your pet to learn to stay off of a surface that is off limits.best of luck to you,

Worked as promised
Only took two or three times for my cat to learn to stay away. He would constantly stand on our TV stand and scratch our TV screen. I laid the mat across the top of the TV stand and now he doesn’t attempt to jump up there at all. I eventually was able to remove the mat and my cat hasn’t realized it is gone (it’s been several months)

Horrible waste of money for cats
This product was advertised as something to help keep dogs and cats off furniture and counters. My cats are trained to not get up on counters while we are awake, but they will do it when we're asleep. I was hoping this mat would fix that. Boy, I made a big mistake. Not sure why, but for some reason I thought the static mode was an audible sound. Call me an idiot, I sure feel like one. It's a static SHOCK. After trying the tone only mode and realizing it was too quiet, and pretty much worthless, I turned on static mode to medium and touched the mat. I thought it was going to make a loud static or hissing type noise. No, it shocked the ever loving **** out of me. My arrm has been tingling for the past 5 minutes and my finger at the touch point is still sore. After half an hour I got the nerve up to try it on the low setting, and while that wasn't awful and I could hold my fingers on it, it still shocked pretty good. Especially if you touched multiple points at the same time. I'm a human; imagine a small animal touching this.Sorry, but for a cat, that's way too extreme and would be akin to animal abuse. I'm returning this worthless product. It should not be advertised for cats. At least dogs are larger animals and the low setting might be ok, plus you can train dogs to react a certain way to tones, but for a cat that's typically not going to work.

Works for dogs!
Takes a 9 volt battery and so far lasting long time. I turned up the shock to the highest level with sound. I have it on a bed in a spare bedroom that has a pretty white comforter, to keep my 70 pound pup off. She jumped up on the bed 2 times and hasn’t tried that in over a week. It has a counter that shows how many times it’s been triggered. My dog is easily trained. She has had a petsafe wireless fence since 6 weeks old. So sound usually works for her. I’m turning the mat to sound only today and feel it will work if she tries to get on the bed again.
