Right hand scout carry, great for EDC, hunting, fishing, and anything else.
Heavy in the hand, sharp out of the box. The ferro rod works very well. The case can be positioned multiple ways, I use it in scout carry position and this is the only knock. It is comfortable and the design allows it to hold tight. However it does not fit to the belt carrier the best. Not that it is not secure, it just sits high because of the design. It is not a problem for most, but it is something to keep in mind if you are wanting to be more concealed.

The edge dulls fast, everything else is perfect! (7/11/23 update)
EDIT: Long term update -7/11/23 - The knife still looks great, the sheath is amazingly strong and still looks and works as new. My striker is a bit worn after taking it camping several times, and yes it did start 2 or 3 of the fires, I just don't like the small burn marks it tends to leave on the softer blade. Speaking of that blade, I've used it to cut, and split wood without any issues at all Oo and I was ready for the thing to break on the first camp! It's so thick, that it kind of make sup for the blade softness, also, I can resharpen the blade easier than any of my other, more expensive knives. The wight alone helps a ton when it comes to stripping wood for kindling. I've used larger pieces of wood to hit the top of the blade and split larger pieces, no issues. I bumped it up to 4 stars because as much as I hate this metal, it seems to be working with this knife, and I don't quite understand why, but reality wins, it works. I was going to do a tip test, but at this point, I don't want to ruin it, because I like it, and it does everything I need it to do. The handle hasn't come loose, and the blade does not rust(It could be due to how I care for my knives, and not the metal itself). It's perfect for the occasional outdoor adventure, but if you go often, or go solo, I'd invest in a much more capable blade. I feel like I got great value from it, and have no complaints for the price. You get what you pay for sometimes, but once in a while you also get a great deal, and I'm fine with mine. Lastly, YES, this would absolutely be fine for emergency self defense. I wish I could have this exact knife, in a more durable high quality metal, but it seems to perform adequately, as is, when used for what it's made for. It looks great imo, but I imagine the price would triple as well...over all a solid 3.8/5, great value, and might last many years if cared for. Very solid, and capable camping, self defense knife(NOT SOLO SURVIVAL). Caveat: If you can't sharpen a blade properly, or aren't willing to learn, I would say look elsewhere.I love everything about it, it's the perfect weight, very sturdy construction. feels far more quality minded than the price would suggest. does not shake or rattle in it's Krylon sheath, it's very tight, may take a few rounds of in and outs to get it just right, that's to be expected. the blade comes razor sharp, and the handle is exactly what I wanted the handle to feel, full, grippy, and strong, not even a hint of looseness. The striker works like any other, scrape off the black carbon, and use it against the sharp right angles on any part of the knife(not the blade). The sparks are numerous, and very hot, requiring little effort to birth a flame. Looks are strikingly beautiful, whoever designed this should have a pat on the back. The Krylon sheth works on all 3 belts I tried, and feels like it will last, and is very secure...ok, now the BAD, just after opening the box, wiping it down, and making sure all was correct, I took a small fallen branch maybe 1.5" thick, and carved a point on it, used the striker to test it, and noticed later the blade had lost a good portion of its edge, I could have shaved with it before, now on the first paper cut test, it bends, and tears, instead of cuts. I was not aware of the qualities of the metal this is made of being more fit for kitchen use than survival! I've learned a bit since, and feel very foolish now. DO NOT BUY THIS KNIFE unless you can get it in a more adequate material, unless you just want a pretty knife to practice your sharpening skills on, that, I believe it would be perfect for. It's such a let down to feel I've found my perfect camping knife, to be crushed before i even get a chance to use it. extremely disappointed, but concerned about returning it, I spent 4-5 hours looking for knives, I now what's out there, and this is what I want! just NOT IN THIS METAL!!! ...oh btw, the striker handle doubles as a whistle, but is crudely carved, it may or may not work properly until trim the extra plastic off of it, it's also orange only with the orange handle knife, and black with the black one. (not as the picture shows)

Nice knife
The blade is a good thickness. Handle is comfortable. The sheath will cover right and left handed use in scout or horizontal carry. Sheath holds the knife firmly. Use your thumb to help when pulling. I haven't tried the ferro rod. It is held in place with a small elastic band. It works fine but I will be putting something heavier on it.

nice knife, No titanium dragons or laser lizards.
nice knife, not too obnoxious. No titanium dragons, laser lizards just a straightforward solid take care of business, handsome knife. D2. Steel for under 40 bucks can't go wrong. Have enough to chop a bit. came Sharp, first thing I used it for was slicing through an unopened roll of carpet matting wow that was fun. Closest Snipe I had it before this one was a buck 119 not as heavy as this one. I don't have a actual collection, but I am interested in metal allergy, I'm curious about what you pay the 300 extra dollars for the ones that are $300 more than this although I know that it's nice too buy the best if you can afford it all in all good knife and good night.
