Works great for USB devices that don't require a ton of bandwidth.
I purchased two of these. They worked exactly as expected for the use case I had for them. My gaming PC is in another room and I ran a HDMI fiber cable as well these over ethernet to my living room, about 25 ft away. It works perfectly allowing me to connect wireless keyboard, mouse, game controllers, headsets and more in my living room.

Power needed at the wrong end
This is a great extender. It works as described with only one small inconvenience. The power is on the usb-a end. It would make more sense to put the power on the computer end and have the power over ethernet to the remote user location. As it is designed, you need 120v at the remote location.

Does what it's supposed to do...
I needed to upgrade an old USB 1.0 extender, and this seems to be doing the trick. Nice and compact. The switching power supply 5 volt wall wart is only rated at 1 amp, and is pretty tiny. So, this might not support USB accessories that require a lot of power. But, I'm only using it for a keyboard and trackball, so I should be fine. If you were using it with devices that draw more power, you might want to get an adapter with a higher rating. I don't know what the actual unit will support, power-wise, though.

Kinda impressed
Impressed it actually works from one end of the house to the other. Not sure what "protocol" it is, but I would avoid connecting it to an actual ethernet switch to be safe (it's probably not compatible and worst case, might fry it)

Stopped Working In Under a Year
Worked a handful of times I used it But now the 2 devices will not connect to each other. Waste of money!
