Gildan Adult & Youth Reusable 2-Layer Cotton Face Mask (12 & 24 Packs)

I bought these masks on brand name reputation. Gildan makes good and popular t-shirts so I felt comfortable knowing these would be made well. As expected, they are. Sewn well, soft, quality material. Great deal, 24 for $18 which would give me enough to last until I do laundry without being price gouged. They wash really well too. They are 100% cotton but the shrinkage was minimal in hot water and dryer and like all cotton fabrics, stretch with use. The mask fits well but the ear loops were snug. After using a while, they fit fine and I didn’t even feel the mask on me. It covers under the chin and sides and it sits high on the nose so no falling down. I did, however, get really hot! This is a couple of layers of cotton against your face. It’s a little difficult to breath through the mask but it gets easier as you wear it. I don’t mind since it is tightly woven which helps resist droplet transferring. That said, yes it did steam my glasses at times but not badly and not constantly. We have to wear them, and these are great.

I love these black masks for their value and comfort level. This pack comes with so many that I don't need to worry about constantly rewashing the same mask. It doesn't pull on my ears, if anything, it's slightly loose. I prefer a loose, less constricting mask so I was fine with the fit. Ultimately, the value for money is what earns 5 stars from me.

I bought these Masks to apply iron on decals for my daughters’ sports teams. I did read the reviews about how sizes varied and that the ear loops do not stretch. I did make a point to measure all of the masks. In a bag of 24, I found the following:Measurement are nose-to-chin X nose to max of ear loopQty 2 5”x7”Qty 9 5.5”x7.5”Qty 9 6”x8”Qty 4 6+”x8”Since the earloops do not stretch, if the mask sizes fit you well, it won’t tag on your ears. On the other hand, if you can’t fit into one of the sizes listed above then it will be uncomfortable and tug your ears like Dumbo. There is a chin dart sewed into a mask to help the mask stay under your chin (Gildon website info).I got what I paid for - inexpensive masks to apply heat-transfer vinyl, but I did have to measure them all to make sure kids got one that fit.UPDATE:I bought these again, but this time it came from the Fantastical Group. First time was from Amazon. Fantastical Group masks do NOT have the dart (seam) for the chin and they are overall smaller! Fantastical masks are NOT Gildan - same material, ear loops are a little more stretchy - but not the Gildan. Kind of bummed, as I paid $29 vs $22 and I did not get what I expected.

I tye-dyed these to sell during the pandemic in hopes to make extra money after losing my business. I don't know why the fabric masks weren't popular here, because I LOVE them. The cotton took the dye really well and still have stunning vibrance years later. I enjoyed having so many masks as I was able to create some drastically different designs. Even though I haven't sold many, I still use them myself. I keep several in the car just in case a passenger needs one.You can breathe easily through these and give great protection. I found that these are amazing at blocking out pollen during the seasonal pollen issues. They've saved me during the spring. I can now go outside, or drive with the window down to enjoy the cool breeze without having a major headache or feeling sick later.I hand wash these because I've dyed them, but when I got lazy I've just thrown them in the washing machine without thinking, but they've come out with no issues each time.Machine Washable? I found out my younger daughter is allergic to disposable masks and her school requires solid colored masks. Bought these for her to try and they are the most comfortable out of the three brands we tried. The fruit of the Loom ones were very rough and thick even after washing (we bought them directly from their website), the Hanes (from Walmart) were too thick to wear all day for school. These masks are a bit big for her but she ties a knot on one of the ear loops and it fits fine. These masks are not thin but not too thick to be uncomfortable for an all day wear. They are also soft and do not irritate the skin.10/4/2021 Update:I purchased these masks from three different sellers. The masks were great from two of the sellers but from one of them, I had to toss the whole batch. They looked fine out of the bag, soft and clean. However, when I hand washed them, fabric "dust" (as if the fabric was decaying) and tiny round black dots that looked like dead bed bugs were in the water. I rinsed the masks six times, and each time had the same amount of dust and black dots. I didn't want to waste them but couldn't risk using them either. However, the other two batches worked out great.10/23/2021I have tossed the other two batches I purchased due to tiny threads coming off into the water when I washed them. I don't want to risk my daughters and I breathing in the threads throughout the day.
