I bought these for my 3 kids because I wanted them to have matching advents but each have something unique. I couldn’t find any that were the same but different colors or some other distinction so I decided these would work because each kid can choose the two decorations they want on top from the six choices provided. They could even change them daily if they wanted to. I’m so glad I chose these.They are fairly sturdy, especially given the price. Im not sure they’ll hold up for generations to come but they should last the next ten plus years that I’ll need them, I’m assuming.As for the size of the drawers, I’m able to get three Hershey’s kisses or a whole bunch of skittles or other small candies if I take them out of the packaging. I also put paper in there with clues to another location for days I had something larger. On the last day I wrote a note to find someone you’re thankful for and tell them what they do that makes you happy, then I wrote that good things come to those who are kind and when they completed the task I gave them a candy bar. Just an idea.I’m so happy I purchased these. They are exactly what I was looking for and at such a reasonable price.

The piece is beautiful and I didn't have any issues with my drawers or knobs or even with the numbers. However, one of the top pieces is too thick and I'm going to have to shave it down to use it (unfortunately for me, my favorite top piece). However, other than that, it's going to serve us at Christmas for quite some time as long as no one gets rough with it. I would recommend this purchase for the pricepoint.

So, I bought this lovely advent calendar for RAK for school, but ended up using it for a rewards system. WOW! My students love it!!! The first day a student called it, "The Magic Castle," and the name stuck. Throughout the class, I recognize good behavior, sitting quietly, on task, reading silently, etc. I call on a student to pick a drawer and get a little treat, (an eraser, something else very small,) and they are thrilled. THIS HAS BEEN WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD! I just bought a second one as a gift for a young mother who has very rambunctious little ones! They are thrilled with it as well. It lights up and works its magic on little ones!

The photos are misleading. The compartments are so small that you can barely fit a single Reese’s peanut butter cup inside. I purchased this for my daughter to use with my grandsons, but she ended up having to put little notes in each compartment and created a scavenger hunt instead. If you’re looking for something compact that won’t take up much space, this might work for you. Otherwise, I’d recommend avoiding it.

I bought 2 and liked the fact they could choose the topper. They also moved the drawers around to make it more fun searching each day. It is fragile but had a talk to my destructive boys and they're being extra careful.

Needed a new advent calendar since mice got into our storage and ruined my last one. This one was a great replacement and I’m happy with it. I just wish the lights part could support another insert. However, we enjoyed it as is.
