Best motor for direct drive setups
I bought this motor for my Ender 3 Pro to use with a direct drive setup, and it’s been working perfectly. It connects straight to the original stepper motor cables with no adapters or wiring changes needed, which made installation super easy. The motor is strong, reliable, and fits great without any issues. There was no noticeable change in print quality compared to my previous setup, but that’s exactly what I was hoping for — everything works just as reliably as before, just now with the benefits of direct drive like easier filament loading and better handling of flexible materials. If you're upgrading to direct drive on an Ender 3 Pro, this motor is a solid choice.

Strong and quiet.
I purchased this stepper to replace a broken one on my BMG extruder. Packaging was quite adequate and the motor arrived in great condition. The silver parts have a finish that resembles silver flake paint. It looks very nice and stands out from the rest of the steppers in my collection. When I initially hooked up the stepper, it would not work. It made a grunt sound and stopped dead. I swapped in a different stepper to make sure my printer wasn't the issue and it worked as expected. Turns out the pin arrangement is different from my current steppers. It is my understanding that there are at least 2 variations you will encounter with stepper motor pin-outs. There was a 1 meter cable included with the stepper and upon inspection I noticed that the center two wires were swapped. Instead of rewiring my connector, which is not hard to do, I simply swapped in the wire that came with the stepper. I tested it again and it worked great. So if you run into this issue with any stepper, consider using the included wire or swapping the center two wires.I experienced no missed steps or any inability to keep up with my print speeds of 120mm/s. I didn't really pay attention to how loud my old stepper was, but I do believe this one was near silent in comparison. I have since printed at least 5 models and am very satisfied with the stepper.I bought this as a replacement part and not as an upgrade, so I didn't expect anything more out of it than what the stock unit had provided, but even then, I feel like I got something better than I had anticipated.

Used as extuder for ender 3
This little stepper is great so far. However I did purchase with the intention of using it as a direct drive extruder on my ender 3 WITHOUT a gear reduction. This did not work well as this little guy isn’t powerful enough to do it without skipping steps. I will try my luck adding a bmg for gear reduction to see if it will work. This did however drop right in as far as fit goes. The wire was unneeded as it plugs right in and spins in the correct direction. Although that may change if a geared extruder is used.

Amazing affordable motor. Highly recommended
The media could not be loaded. Update: I’ve had this motor and extruder for a while now and have had 0 issues. It is working amazingly well, and has plenty of power to push filament through. The BMG style extruder was something I always wanted to use but I needed a pancake or Slim motor to be able to utilize it. After trying out the TwoTrees Magnetic flexplate I found their quality to be pretty good compared to other manufactures so I decided to purchase their BMG extruder and this Slim Style pancake motor. I was worried about the motor having enough power but it is working amazing with their BmG extruder. The installation instructions were very plain but installing a motor is relatively simple. After double checking that the wiring diagram of the motor and the wiring diagram on the board I am using are the same I proceeded to connect everything. I was lucky that I did not need to change any of the pin orientation but some users might have to change them in order to get the motor to turn in the correct direction. With the instructions followed and everything assembled I started my set of calibration tests. After everything was done I was able to get some fantastic prints with in these last few weeks. This motor and their extruder have been working marvelously and I will update this review if anything changes in the future...

Running these 24/7 with no issues.
Used these as a direct drive replacement and had no regrets. Been going 24/7 without any issues. They do get a bit hot if I run them on a 1.0mm nozzle, but I just keep it a bit slow. The 0.4mm nozzles fly at full speed without any issues though.

Fix for my Artillery extruder
With 3d printers, I am always discovering a new problem to solve. That was the case with my Artillery Sidewinder. The extruder would start clicking like it was clogged, but touching the feed wheel would start it up again. After some digging I found other people that said the stepper needed replacing. This is a direct replacement. With some effort, I was able to remove the 4 Phillips head screws in the back and replace them with the ones from my printer. The printer is back to work and doing great.

Motor only worked for 1 month, then promptly died. Contacted customer service-no support given
I'm sorry to have to be writing this, but the motor I purchased only worked for 1 month on my 3D printer. The quality of the motor is very poor compared to their competition. Their customer service was difficult to deal with, and ended with no product support of the motor I bought. I checked with their customer support to make sure I was using the correct sized motor for my application which we found that I was. They offered me half off of a new motor if I would buy another one. But I don't want to buy another one just to have it stop working after 1 month again. For reference similar motors from other companies have been working for 2+ years on the same machine. It's possible I just had bad luck and received a faulty motor, but either way you should know that the motor you buy from singasong may only work for 1 month.
