Works great, but an English manual would have been nice
I have been having all kinds of fun with this thing, testing every USB power supply / charger and cable I can get my hands on. A surprising number of them perform quite poorly. This device helps root them out. I'm drawing frowny faces on all the poor-quality stuff! My only complaint is that the manual is only in Chinese. The display defaults to Chinese as well, but six clicks of the button changes it to English. Despite the lack of an English manual it's pretty obvious what most of the functions do.A few miscellaneous notes:1) This device lets you test a charger by plugging directly into it, but you can also plug a cable into one of the ports along the back side (the side opposite the screen). This is how to test cables once you've tested the charger they're plugged into.2) There are two micro USB ports on the back side. One is for testing cables and the other is just to power the unit independently of the device under test. The one farthest to the left (with the screen facing you) is the power port. It's rare that you'd need to power the unit independently, but the option is there if you want it. In any case, don't confuse the two ports or things won't work as expected.3) I wasn't sure the QC 3 test function worked correctly, but it does. Assuming your charger supports it, QC 2 switches between various voltage levels (5, 9, etc.) in large increments and it's obvious what's happening. QC 3 lets the device choose its voltage level with much more granularity, so when you use the little QC tester in conjunction with this, you have to watch the voltage display carefully as you push the up or down buttons - it only changes in very small increments when you press the buttons. Mash them a bunch of times and you'll see a significant voltage change.4) I checked the voltage displayed against that measured by my decent-quality multimeter and they were always within a few hundredths of a volt of each other, so I assume the voltage reading can be trusted.

Great device.
I love to be able to apply load and monitor voltage/amps on all kind of USB ports and wall warts. You can really know what is happening through the cable. This is an worth upgrade to a standalone usb meter. The QC device wasn't useful for me. I hoped it worked with USB-C PD (power delivery) standard but it does not.

Lasted about 10 minutes, can't change the current now.
Like the title says. I opened it up to start checking it out with two battery packs I had and it lasted about 10 minutes before it started to malfunction. Now it doesn't matter what position the current knobs are in, with both at the lowest setting it shows roughly 3.6amps of current draw. So it's pretty much useless now. It's supposed to be waited for 35W which neither of my battery packs are capable of delivering, so I'm at a loss as for what happened. I'm returning it and getting a replacement. If the replacement turns out to work better I will update this review. My personal feelings are that the heatsink/fan are insufficient to dissipate 35W of heat... but we'll see, fingers crossed.Updated 2025, same thing happened. Died again, stuck at around 2.5 amps with the knobs turned to their lowest settings. This thing is junk, it just doesn't last.

Works well, but the screen cable is very delicate.
This charger is not just a load, but a full-on USB power analyzer. And it does the job very well.By turning the load down to zero, plugging a charger into the USB C, Micro USB or Lighting ports, and plugging a device into the female USB connector on top, you can monitor the voltage, current and how many mAh the device takes. The QC trigger also works. At least it activated on my Samsung charger and got it to kick up to 9V on the QC2 setting.Turn up the load to test the cutoff current of power supplies and the capacity of power banks. I've used this to debunk false specs on a couple power banks I have, and to determine how much one of my older banks have worn down over the years. If the power bank cuts off or you unplug the tester, the test results are still saved; turn the load down to zero and plug it into any USB port to read the results of the test. For testing batteries without protection, I don't see any way to make the tester stop at a specific cutoff voltage like with other larger testers, so this may damage bare batteries. Now onto the problem I've had. This is my second tester. I've set up a return for the first one because the tiny flat-flex cable from the control board to the LCD display broke and caused the screen to become unreadable and useless. The soldering for the cable on the board seems low quality and quite dry; that's likely where the problem is.Only a few hours after its replacement came in, the backlight is getting intermittent on this one too; it'll go out if I touch the screen or the cable.I'm going to see if I can solder this one's cable together better, and if I can fix it, I'll cancel the return, pay for this second one, fix the first one, and have two good testers. But I'm knocking off a star because I shouldn't HAVE to do this.

Awesome device, needs better manual
Got this to test out my various charges and cables. It does work as advertised. Now I can label my cables with a amp rating and the same with my chargers. Only feature I'm trying to figure out is the USB power supply interface. When hooked to a PC nothing happens, when hooked to a charger it turns on but the controls dont work. Hopefully the vendor sees this and sheds some light as besides that this gadget is a must have! First pic is a power supply, second is a cable I'm rating.
