Convenient and comfortable, but adds noticeable weight
This grip is fantastic for getting a more comfortable grip on the camera if you have larger hands, and as an always-accessible quick release plate. I feel like it makes a significant difference in my comfort using the camera when I'm using larger and heavier lenses, where the better grip makes a difference. On the other hand, the weight addition is noticeable, so for lightweight lenses and run-and-gun photography it may be a detriment instead. The magnet holding the allen key in place is pretty weak, so it might fall off in a camera bag. I leave it off and use the key attached to my tripod if I feel the need to take it off before a photography outing.Remember to take the battery door off of your camera and attach it to the grip while it's attached, and vice versa when you remove it. You don't want to have to take off the grip every time you need to swap batteries, no do you want to use your camera without a battery door providing weather resistance.

Good, i love it. but...
It's OK, built is good. it lasted with me for about a couple of months until i had issues with the bottom mount. it looks like it is warped or something but i dont know why, i am sure i did not cause it. hoping that I can get a replacement or some sort.

More useful than the Sony branded "pinky extender"
I wish I had purchased this before the $130 Sony "pinky extender". This is far more useful because it fits on my carbon fiber tripod precisely and you don't have to loosen it and swing it out of the way to access the battery like the Sony branded one. The allen wrench is magnetically held in place so if you don't sling it around it's always to hand. Or if you find it is too weak a magnet you can always put the wrench in your camera bag. Also...it was easy to move the battery door to the hand grip (A7RIII). Just take your time and voila...done without damage.

Good Grip!
I bought this hand extension for my A7 IV. The portion of the grip under the battery compartment is shorter than the grip by 1/4-3/8th inch. Not a big deal just an fyi. Maybe it is the way it was designed. Feels fine.I read another review referencing the battery door removal compromising waterproofing. Makes sense...I guess. I left the battery door in place. The grip has a wrench held on by magnet. I just loosen and turn a bit to change batteries. Takes about 15 seconds, maybe less. Just not much of a thing for me. Also, these batteries last so long I don't get in there often. I just plug in the camera to recharge. Your mileage may vary.

RRS Style and shape, I dont think they make them anymore
I've tried a few grips but this one is perfect for me. It extends the grip seamlessly, some other grips bulge out and aren't as comfortable. It is the right price. Battery door works flawlessly and allows for my peak design nubbies to attatch to the bottom without obstructing the integrated mounting plate. Also the magnetized allen key is clutch. I had to replace the included key with one from peak design because the metal was soft. For me nbd. If this still exists pick it up. no ragrats

Grip needs one adjustment.
Grip extension is almost perfect. Must be able to switch batteries without removing extension. Looks like there is opportunity to redesign slightly.

Good to have on camera
This does a better job of extending the grip than most other L-plate style systems. The battery door was easy to install on the plate, though you may find you have to open and close it a couple of times to get it to seat itself properly. A worthy addition to any camera.

Perfectly fit to my hand. no issue with battery door. But...
perfectly fit to my hand and feel comfortable. it should include an instruction sheet. to install it correctly, you need to take down batter door on camera and install it on the grip.
