Great construction, but definitely not bronze
As others have said, these are great lights. Solid construction that is head and shoulders above the big box brand of lights this is replacing. But just be warned, what Hinkley advertises as "bronze" color is absolutely nothing like what every other company markets as bronze (EDIT: I'm not talking about the more expensive "Matte Bronze" finish, which is actual bronze and gorgeous. I'm talking about the "Bronze" option Amazon sells with a picture that looks like a warm black color). The coating on this light is grey. Not black, no brownish hues, no hint of bronze tone metal beneath the finish. It's just grey paint.I've since purchased some of the "Matte Bronze" spot lights from Hinkley, and those things are absolutely gorgeous, and made from actual bronze which will age beautifully. If you're wondering whether the extra cost of the "Matte Bronze" is worth it, let me assure you it is.)

Solid construction, sturdy ABS plastic stake, double O-ring seal, wire could be heavier duty
You can never go wrong with Hinkley products, and this one is no different. For a basic landscape floodlight, this gets the job done with a clean, classy look, solid construction, and for a very good price (I paid $40). The fixture housing itself is well made out of metal and feels solid. It looks like the metal is painted, although I would have preferred powder coating for improved rust resistance. The stake is made out of plastic, but it's the rigid-type molded ABS plastic (so very durable), not like the cheap flimsy plastic that most cheap products are made out of. I still wouldn't be banging it in with a hammer, but this stake will definitely take a bit more abuse compared to other cheap lights. I hammered in a crowbar into the ground first to make a hole, then inserted the stake and packed the soil back around it. The double O-rings are good to keep moisture out. I might suggest to wipe a small amount of Vaseline around the O-rings before putting the cover back on just to prevent them from drying out over time and it'll help to ensure a good seal. The wire pigtail seems a bit thin - I would have preferred heavier insulation on the wire. Also, both leads are separate. I would have preferred if they were attached together. It just makes for easier cable management. Also, this is very minor, but I would have preferred slightly longer cable length. It measures approx 1 foot, but a bit more excess is always nice. Can't really comment on longevity as I just installed them yesterday, but installation was a breeze. Overall, it's a great light and I would purchase again without hesitation.

Quality product
I replaced an old Hinkley spot light (17 years old). Bought the bronze color. Matched my others. Easy to install. Stake is included . Very happy with product. Highly recommend. Used M16 led bulbs easy peasy .

Nice Lights — You get What You Pay For
The build quality on these lights are much better than the cheaper versions at the big box stores. The gaskets (keep water out) are thick and sturdy, and the whole unit feels heavy and durable. They come with wire nuts for connection to low voltage line and and silicone gel for the parts that screw in (eg the stake that screws in to the light). Installing is easy assuming you’ve already got low voltage line to your installation spots.I’ve been using the 50w LED bulbs with no issues. These lights look great in the yard and I believe they are worth the extra money over cheaper alternatives.

Socket for the bulb sucks
I returned one unit because the bulb could not be inserted. The replacement worked the first time I put in a bulb, but I removed the bulb to replace it (bad bulb?) and then could not insert a new bulb. The socket seems to be crap. I suggest buying something else as these suck, especially for the inflated price. WTF Hinckley?

Not GU10 Base!
Please beware! The description states the bulb base is GU10. I ordered these lights and they did not fit so I called Hinkley and was informed that the bulb is MR16, GX5.3. The woman at Hinkley said she was going to make sure Amazon corrected the description. I can say that the light fixture is sturdy and well put together. I ordered the correct light bulbs (led) tonight so I will need to update this review after I see them up light my tall weeping cheery tree. Can't wait! I wanted anyone else who is looking to purchase these lights to understand what bulb is needed so you don't make the same mistake I did.
