I selected these because the release mechanism is at the end of the bracket making it easier to reach for my wife. I mounted them to a custom made oak shelf that matches the cabinets in our laundry and will be used as a 16 X 30 folding table/shelf. The release mechanism (buttons) are useless and I have to grab the latches will lifting to release the shelf for folding. Yes, I lift while pushing the buttons too but no bueno. Everything is perfectly aligned so it's just a poor design.
