I've gone through at least 5-6 different LED receivers looking for a good bluetooth one with a decent app and this is the best one so far. I bought this to do a lot of custom wiring work to decorate inside some PC cases and other stuff.I removed the receiver from the little box to further diminish it's size, wrapping it in thermal electric tape to embed within some electronics. Works GREAT!This had a short cable, and the app that comes with it is better than the 4 other apps I tried for other receivers on amazon. This one actually functions as you need! For those of you doing custom work that requires a BT receiver for a 5V LED strip, this is the best one you can come across so far for compactness, short cord, and decent app.
