An awesome, wonderfully priced hammock
I really don't understand the negative comments here. I bought this hammock here on Amazon, and put it up between a water maple and a dogwood in my yard, using these straps: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XV6PUI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The hammock comes with two ropes to attach to eye bolts to put in the tree, not any "strap" hardware, but I don't like putting things into trees. The wrap straps are so much more tree friendly. It's exactly as it looks in the picture size wise as well. There are dimensions in the product writeup, I would think people would measure and area to see how big it actually is, rather than rely on a picture. I did, and it is exactly as they say it is.It was incredibly easy to put up. Yes, it sags. It's a hammock. Welcome to physics. It looks just like the picture, sags like the picture (again, physics... it's a net hammock, it will sag. They all will). It took a few tries to get the height right and the wrap of the straps to get the hammock just where I wanted it, but once it was up (about 10 minutes), I tried it out. I am 5-8 and about 160 lbs, and no issues. The construction is perfect, no frays, no tears, nothing negative at all. Very well made (and I am an ex-sailor and know my line and knots). It's long enough for my 6-3, 240 lb. hubby, and holds all three of us, including my 10 yr old daughter. It's cotton line (rope). It's a natural fiber that will, in time, weather. That's just the laws of nature. The only real problem I had was making myself get out of it. I kept dozing off, it was so comfortable. It took me 30 minutes to convince myself to get out of it. It's a marvelous buy. I got it in 2 days and free shipping with Amazon Prime. I will be spending many an hour in that hammock with my books. Now I just need to find or make a table for my coffee cup to attach to the tree!

For the price it is fantastic. Some reviewers concerns are durability
We have bought this hammock twice. For the price it is fantastic. Some reviewers concerns are durability. Yes, you get what you pay for. We have been able to keep our hammock out year round (california beach area) and it lasted for a few years. Great value if you ask me. If you want it to last longer, bring it in when not in use. It is also very comfortable for a rope hammock. I agree with another reviewer, it is not as big as it looks in the picture. However, my 6 ft tall husband and my 9 year old son were able to share it very comfortably. Another concern is that it hangs to the ground when you sit in it. This can be avoided by handing it correctly. Because it stretches, you must hang the hammock "high and tight". Ours is stretched flat at about the height of my belly button (just under rib cage and I'm 5 foot 6) and it works great when we get in it.

As advertised!
Shipped quickly & with NO issues. Pleased with the overall quality, size, style & price of product. Fairly comfortable & sturdy but actual longevity & durability not yet determined (time will tell). Installation was simple & all required installation hardware was included with actual hammock (excluding basic tools used to install). Would purchase again if needed.

It lasted five years
I have always had a hammock in my backyard, sometimes I take them in to the garage but usually just leave them out in the elements. I used to get Pawley island hammocks, mostly for nostalgia I guess, but I was having to replace them every other year or so when the rope would break after exposure to the elements. Bought this one because it was so much cheaper figured what did I have to lose. Yes the rope separates a little bit more than I’d like and yes it droops a little more than I like, and up close the quality isn’t as high as PIH, but from a distance it looks no different and it lasted for five years of me, me and my wife or me and my kids relaxing on it, that’s less than $10/year. For the price I give it five stars.

ok hammock
This was a cheap alternative for my last hammock that wore out. This hammock is very similar in style as the one I replaced, but it is much more unstable. The kids have a difficult time getting on without it flipping on them. I like that it came with a case, however after just one summer, it is already showing a lot of wear. I'll be lucky to have it last another summer.

Great hammock
We placed this on our porch and we just love swinging on it and relaxing in the warm breeze. Getting on and off a hammock is an art form and takes some practice. We tend to lay on it sideways rather than longways as that gives us our feet near the ground to kick off and keep us swinging. It does stretch out as you are laying on it and needed to have the hanging ropes tightened about 3 or 4 times before we finally got it to be where we like it. I highly recommend this hammock, it's very reasonably priced and very comfortable and fun.

Don't buy. Flawed product.
I'm not sure how you can make a hammock that doesn't work, but this company managed to do it! First off, there is so much stretch in the material that you have to hang it chest high to keep it from hitting the ground when you sit on it. I bought this for my kids and now they can't use it because it's too high. I tried hanging it lower thinking the light weight of a small child would not be enough to make it sag to the ground, but I was wrong. Secondly, this thing is completely unstable! I ensured there were no twists in the rope and that it hangs in a neutral position, but as soon as you try to sit on the hammock it flips. Somehow the width of the hammock makes getting on and off a significant feat and removes the pleasure of using the hammock in the first place. Again, completely unusable by my children and very dangerous! So, the bottom line is don't buy this for kids, and if you're an adult only buy it if you're ready for the athletic balancing act required to enter and sit in the hammock...and you don't mind hanging your hammock 4-5 feet off the ground.
