Hi there, the spinning ball bearing on the bottom of the lazy susan is 8" in Diameter. The large lazy susan uses a 10" ball bearing. Thanks!

Q: Could the lazy susan base (ring) be removed? Love the tray but dont want it to turn.

Furthermore, they are not perfectly circular, so may be over 16'' at a particular point, but under 16'' if measured from a different point. It's very strong and quality made. I don't the actual weight it will hold but I would guess up to 20lbs or so. It's awesome. I love mine
