Original item came in an original sealed package and since installation it did a decent job with read and write speeds as promised. Boot time:On installation it improved the boot time of an already slaggy laptop which I was considering to replace. But the replacement of the original HDD with this M2 gave a new lease of life to the 5 years old laptop and it works at par with any new laptop utilising the full power of the processor. Quite impressed.

Bought for my girlfriend's Steam Deck, it was easy to install and clone her data from her old one. I used Macrium Reflect with a USB-C caddy to clone the drive, and the Steam Deck automatically resized the partition to fill the new extra space when booted up.

Yet another laptop needed a new, larger ssd, The WD blacks are really good, fit as expected and easily enough when you know what to do. They don't get very hot, which is good. Never had any issues with them and I've bought at least 5.

it's a great upgrade for your ally, only thing making it 4 is time will tell if has a good write endurance and is worth the premium over other drives the same size i think it is worth it but can't say for sure till i put it through alot more use to see if it doesn't degrade being the one source of storage on the ally because of their micro sd escapades
