No lip sync delay!
Intent:Watch TV both with headset and existing sound bar simultaneously. My Setup:Avantree aptX HD Transmitter/Receiver (device being reviewed)Avantree [2020 New] aptX-HD 24 Bit Hi-Fi Bluetooth 5.0 Active Noise Cancelling HeadphonesExisting Vizio TV with optical audio outputExisting Vizio sound bar w/ Bluetooth subwooferSetup: Fairly simple to connect the Avantree Tx/Rx to the optical audio output of the TV and, using the Tx/ Bypass mode (switch on the right side of unit), connect the sound bar to the Avantree Tx/Rx. Selected Low Latency priority mode using the switch on the left side. Power provided by USB connection from the TV. Easy on. Simple to pair with both headsets, (Holding Tx button for 2 sec puts the unit in pairing mode, then put the desired headset in pairing mode and Voila!) - voice prompt confirms connection (and the voice can be turned off/on as it could become annoying after awhile but is useful inn the early setup phase.) Device remembers and recognizes each headset as it is turned on and within range. For my situation, the range seems quite adequate. Can roam around the entire house without dropping. Avantree Tx is centrally located in the living room. Tried the furthest reaches of the basement without issue - at least 40-50 ft away with wooden studded walls/floors.Pros: Easy setup/pairing, Bypass mode works fine to allow both sound bar and headsets. No lip sync delay when used in conjunction with compatible headset. Also, customer support is very good. Initially had an issue with a different headset that was causing an issue and not allowing Low Latency mode. Once I paired the device with an appropriate headset, everything was great.Cons: Given my setup, when both headset and soundbar are used, there is a slight echo (time delay between the two devices) Do not notice any lip sync delay with either headset or sound bar when used individually but when used together there is a slight reverb. I suspect that this is due to my older model sound bar which is not "low latency". Not terribly bothersome for me but something to consider.

Fantastic quality for using BT sound with a television
This review is forAvantree Oasis Plus Certified aptX HD Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter Receiver for TV, Soundbar PassThrough, Class 1 Long Range, Voice Guide, Touch Screen, aptX Low Latency Audio Adapter for 2 HeadphonesI've had it for going on 4 years now; it's plugged in with a digital optical cable in transmitter mode, so I can use USB headphones/earbuds when watching movies at night. It still works without issue; I keep it in LL (Low Latency) Priority mode. One set of old headphones I use was relegated to TV use because the Oasis Plus has its own volume controls, and the old bluetooth headphones volume switch is almost dead - after fighting to get the headphones to max volume, I can use the Oasis volume controls to quiet them when needed. The voice prompts, when enabled, come out of a speaker on the Oasis Plus itself, which is VERY useful for figuring out what's going on.The 164 foot range is the standard consumer marketing range of "If the transmitter and receiver are both on an empty planet at the top of tall, tall towers with no obstructions between them, the range would be...". Suffice it to say the range is obviously far superior to my previous little Saturn bluetooth transciever, as well as superior to the range of any laptop or cellphone in the house. I attribute at least most of that to it using a real antenna. Range is obviously affected by other Bluetooth devices, other 2.4Ghz devices including 2.4Ghz wifi, walls, people, windows, airducts, appliances, etc. I can still hear it throughout the house (it's pretty centrally located, to be fair).Seeing the SBC/APTX/LL/HD light up is kind of nice; it does seem to operate with decent latency with SBC mode earbuds- if I watch for it, I can see it, but it isn't bad. With APTX mode it's quite low latency. I don't have any APTX LL mode equipment, unfortunately. Essentially: This, in transmitter mode, will have as low a latency as your receivers allow. For me, APTX headphones are good enough when I care, and SBC is good enough when I don't care. If they weren't, APTX LL would have been.Power is by Micro-USB with no internal batteries, which is part of why I bought it - my previous tiny bluetooth transceiver's internal batteries died, rendering it useless. This one just keeps trucking. If you need to take it portable, use a USB power bank.I'm not sure how dual headphones works, since I only use it with one.
