Needa Parts 384352 Ford Door Hinge Spring Cover Kit

I have a early 90's ford. This part is supposed to fit it. So will it work?.....No, the truck will physically need to be modified to remove old hinge and install this. I had this installed over the old one to give it more room to actually engagebhowbit should. If the old hinge is gone it wint touch. Even after I did that. This metal is cheap feeling and soft so the door still swings closed with almost no force at all. It just rolls over this with no resistance. Definitely if parked on a slight incline the door will push right past it. It does it parked on flat ground too. It's started to bend after a few days. I was better off keeping the broken parts in the door than wasting my time and money. Inbthe metal was stronger it would work great. But not much you can do with cheap metal.
