Filters light but not at all blackout.
This is a little awkward to set up the first time, make sure you have plenty of space for the long tent poles. It's simple after that first try, but not sure we'll be using it much since it is not a true blackout tent. The material is soft and breathable, but we've had to use a blanket to cover it and help baby nap when it's light out. The zipper screen window sticks when trying to open and close, but it is a nice detail. This packs up easily into the bag that's provided, and would be a minimal footprint for travel packing. This was a breeze to put over the pack 'n play, and there's extra space inside, but I can't get over the fact that it doesn't keep light out.

Must have for travel!
These black out tents are an absolute must have for babies and toddlers for traveling. They are so versatile and pack up nice and compact for packing. It is kind of a pain to assemble, but I’ve used many different brands of these tents, including the name brand version, and they’re all the same in terms of assembly. But the functionality of it to help young ones get great sleep in a pack in play is so worth it! Highly recommend getting one!

Good Affordable Alternative
I’ll be honest that I struggled whether to give this three or four stars. I ultimately settled on 3.5, which rounds up to four. LOL The gist is that this really is a good light softening tent, which, when you’re traveling, is usually the main use case you’re trying to solve for. We have done all sorts of crazy fort building around my son’s Pack n’ Play over the last 16 months that I wish we had discovered this sooner! As for light softening, I wouldn’t say it “blocks out 95% of the light.” It definitely darkens the space, but the real plus with this is just helping to block out visual distractions. We are proponents for “teach your child to sleep anywhere,” but being able to see Mom and Dad walking by the crib while in the camper definitely delays that much needed nap. ;)Functionally, this deserves a solid three stars with the breath ability of the fabric giving it that fourth star. It also fits around our Pack n’ Play really well, and since it sits outside the crib, it’s a much safer option than the ones that clip onto the crib.Areas where I think it could be improved:- Ease of setup (possibly a pop-up function?)- Way to attach your baby camera- More durable zippers (toddler hands are tough on them!)All this said, if you’re looking for a more affordable option for one of the tents to go over your crib, this is a good one. Sure beats the creative fort building! ;)

Works ok
This was a bit of a pain to setup. It sort of does the job, but isn’t perfect. The tent doesn’t completely darken, just dims the light.

There are better alternatives on the market.
I will preface this by saying I am an experienced camper, i.e., I can pitch a tent. I would not want to be setting up this tent for anything less than three nights use, especially in a small space. Having the poles fully connected to thread through the tent loops is rather time and space consuming. And the design of this particular tent, with the two poles arcing parallel rather than an X at the top is also frustrating. But my main gripe is that this tent does NOT offer any blackout capability. It's more like 95% light. I wouldn't even use this for my baby, who doesn't need blackout, but just needs to have a barrier so she doesn't get distracted by the outside world. You can easily SEE the outside world through the fabric. I have another tent that pops up, and while it has some other limitations, I much prefer it for the desired blackout feature. I would not recommend this tent.

This really does not block out bright light but does "soften" the light
The media could not be loaded. As we tackled the setting up of this tent, one thing came to mind, please have a friend help with the setup. The first time setting up a tent like this is that it takes some strength and coordination. Both of which I lack! HOWEVER, once the flexible tubes were in the place, the tent took its shape. It is a decent size and fits well over our small IKEA crib. One concern is that there is no window or space to add a baby cam. The fabric on this tent is a little thin. Too thin for me, but maybe that is what they mean when they talk about breathability. I prefer the heavier fabric. The front zipper comes off track a lot and that is also a safety concern for me. (See video) Another note is that it does NOT block out most light. I would say it "softens" the light. If you need 95% blocked light, I would not recommend this brand especially at the price point they are asking.
