Utterly enthralled four year old!
This was easily the favourite toy this Christmas for my four year old - it's so engaging, and so easy to work. I thought it would need a lot of parental guidance but after initial set up and demonstration, he can do it all by himself and it keeps him enthralled for ages. A total hit. Brilliant!

Great teaching toy for 3-4year olds. Great delivery.
The LRC Robot Mouse is great for young infants. It teaches programing ideas in an easy to understand way. Child (3 3/4) immediately grasped the Go button, Reset and one/two programming steps. The rech5argable mouse also saves on batteries. The mouse drifts of coarse a little with many steps, but this is not too bad. The amazon collection from a pickup counter was also very good as normal. Happy camper, thanks.

Plenty of play potential for children young and old
The media could not be loaded. This toy reminds me of the Computacar toy by Mettoy that I had in the 1970s. You could programme the car to go forwards or turn left or right by cutting out ridges in a special card that was pulled through the underneath of the car. It was a brilliant concept and led to many happy hours of inventive play until the batteries needed to be replaced. This toy brings this concept into the 21st century. All is solid state, with built-in rechargeable batteries via the enclosed USB-C charging cable. The mouse memory is programmed by tapping the direction buttons to ensure that it moves forwards, backwards or turns to left or right. I tested this game with a 5 and 7 year old who took to the concept like a duck to water and were quickly setting up complex series of moves to guide the mouse around a maze to find its lump of cheese.Strictly, this is closer to using a programmable calculator than genuine computer coding but it does create a game that is just as much fun to play with as my old Computacar. It’s not cheap but is well built and easy to use straight out of the box. It does have plenty of learning potential and would link well to future education about basic coding concepts.

Clear instructions, no batteries needed!
The media could not be loaded. Bright colours interesting cards for maze ideas or I can randomly make my own maze. If I want to I can add household items to program colby the mouse to avoid. My mouse sometimes goes a bit sideways but a quick prod is fine, he is usually in need of a chargeAdult supervision needed for younger children but the instructions even help me with teaching ideas. An older child can do this themselves. It says 4+ but I would only let my 4 year old grandson do this as a 1 to 1 as the mouse is not to be pushed back and forward with force.A challenge for me as well.Mouse can start with a couple of commands then these can be added too, or cleared to start again if your commands are like mine…a bit wrong. There are command cards to plot the route and they help a child remember.A really good educational toy that can be used again and again without batteries!

Good fun learning resource , programmable robot
84 piece Code & Go Robot Mouse activity set from Learning Resources.A well designed great quality learning toy . Includes a robot mouse and charging cable , 16 x maze grids , 22 maze walls, 3 tunnels and a cheese wedge.Set up the route - either a suggested one or build your own . The tiles, tunnels and walls all slot together .Double sided activity and coding cards are used to plan the route the mouse needs to go to find the cheese.Programme the robot mouse by pressing the buttons on its back in the same sequence you have planned - set it off and it should follow the route and find the cheese .Multiple configurations , lots of thinking and fun and learning through play .The little ones love it ,especially the little squeak when the mouse finds the cheese .Needs a solid flat surface to keep the mouse on track . Hours of quiet concentrated play

Great for beginners and advanced alike
This is a great set for family bonding and teamwork while introducing children to coding and STEM concepts, which is a big thing for me. With the rechargeable robot mouse, kids can enjoy hands-on learning as they build mazes, plan routes. It encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. Programming is made intuitive and engaging for beginners, but there’s enough to give advanced users more complex challenges.Great if you want to give your kids a flying start with programming skills and learn something yourself.
