Setting up our recording studio in a semi-finished basement presented many problems not the least of which was the concrete floors, wood paneling on the walls and a lot of corners that reflected every noise back at the microphones. Some of these issues were easily addressed - thick area rugs helped the floor issue and the walls were easy enough to cover in foam - but the corners continued to give us problems. These bass traps were the perfect solution for us. They are a good size and thickness, they were easy to install and have done a great job at eliminating even more of the echo/reflection in the recording space. We're going to need a few more sets to complete the project, but at least now I feel confident that we've found something that works.I do wish the foam was slightly more dense as I suspect that would help even more, but this is a good product and is already improving the quality of our recordings.

I got this for my husband’s garage studio. They play in a band and practice here sometimes. He needed some clarity in the sound. These mufflers/acoustic foams , became great quick solution for echos and sound quality improvements. They are a great large size. They work very well. Depending if the room you want to cover, you may need extra of these because this order came with set of 4 only. They came vacuum sealed . I opened them and left them over night until they got to their actual size . Then you clean the space you want to stick these on from dust. This insures a better performance. I didn’t notice any bad smell on them after 24 hrs they completely aired out. They are dense and soft. Fit corners perfectly . These are not cheap but there are higher prices on the market as well. What I liked the most about these, they were easy to install. Great product for a better sound quality.

We mounted these in our home studio. And they fell down. We mounted them again. And they fell down. So now we are trying to nail them into the wall. But it's a cement wall, so that isn't working. Our next attempt will be to attack them with Liquid Nails. Do they absorb sound, yeah, probably, but I'd have a better sense of that if they would stay in place.

Used these in my home recording studio, they work well

I record music and other audio and work as a software developer in my office. All of these require a certain level of audio manipulation to ensure that I can produce consistent results in my recordings and be understood easily in my meetings.My big issue was getting bounce-back on the low-end sounds in my small, angular office. I have a few sound panels around the room, but the corners, especially around my wooden shelves were apparently causing me some issues.These foam traps covered the corners of my room vertically and some of the horizontal corners. The difference was immediate, as the clarity of my voice in meetings and any voice-over production has none of the fuzziness I had before.At this price point, I highly recommend these, especially for those who work from home and need clarity but don't have the luxury of a nice home studio.
