Men’s Water Resistant Hiking Trousers Dry Fast Breathable Trousers Lightweight Outdoor Travel Pants

These trousers are a generous fit and very comfy, soft and warn to wear. I only got them today, so this is not a comprehensive review, but I was initially worried about sizing and thankfully they fit well. The material is nice and quiet being a softshell and is water repellent not waterproof. This is exactly what I wanted as it makes these ideal for winter wear and they breathe well so you won't feel clammy as you would with waterproofs. I really purchased these for protection from cold as fleece is a brilliant insulator and you won't feel cold even when sitting on a stone wall. They are windproof too which also helps retain heat.I have given these trouser 4 stars for now, because they are a good price and I haven't found anything similar from the big brands in the UK.The things I don't like so much are the unbranded zips as I would have preferred YKK zips and would be happy to pay extra for them. Zips are the weakest part of clothing and it is quite common for cheap unbranded zips to break with very little use. Aldi now use YKK zips in all their clothing after having many customer return clothing with broken zips. The trousers will outlast the zips no doubt so this was not a smart compromise to make. YKK all the way please!The only other criticism is with the front belt loops as these could be closer towards the front middle to properly support the trousers at the waist.I can't find anything else to complain about so if the two points I mentioned are fixed in future versions then this is a 5 star product and I will buy again. In the meantime these seem like very good winter trousers and will definitely keep your legs warm this winter. They look good too unlike some of the other similar versions from other brands that have more in-your-face styling and colour combinations. These are quite smart looking. I just hope the zips last.UPDATE (2019.11.10): I now have 3 pairs of these trousers in Black, Grey and Green. There is a quality issue in that construction of fasteners is inconsistent. The green pair has the waist clasp fitting installed the wrong way round, so that the fitting is stressed more when in tension. The black pair has the rear zip closing from right to left, whereas the other 2 pairs have the zip closing from left to right as per the product photos. This is a bit annoying as otherwise the construction is good. I like these trousers, so I will just keep them, but I am not totally happy with this, but I suspect its a lottery so any replacement could have a more annoying defect, so these will have to do.

The inside leg is 32" and the bottoms of the legs are wide enough to go over boots. Unfortunately if you are short the material drags on the ground. It is a problem I have seen with most over trousers. On Size seems to have to fit all.

Very lightweight, however I bought the 36" waist and it's more like a 32". Although there is elasticated waistband, it is stretched to the limit on my 36" waist! Haven't worn out on a walk yet, but I can imagine the waist might be a bit too tight and uncomfortable wearing for a prolonged period. Unfortunately they don't appear to do a larger size.

I haven't much used these, but so far they have proven to be water resistant. They are very lightweight compared to other water resistant materials.

Good quality, nice snug fit, feel very comfortable, should keep me nice and toasty.I’ll have my seamstress alter the the leg length because I’m a bit of short a***.Yet to be tested for water resistance, but I’m sure they’ll be ok.Will update my review at a later date.

I purchased these to ware for work the fitted nice and also comfortable but since one of the side pocket zips had broke

Well at first I was disappointed with the item as it was made in China and I thought of poor quality but what a surprise they are quality trousers light weight and waterproof so comfortable to wear I definitely will be investing in get more pairs in different colours highly recommended

Zips came off two of the five pockets. Otherwise, it is waterproof, breathable and lightweight - comfortable. Fine for occasional wear, but if you're out in the elements more frequently then spend a little more and get something higher-quality.
