CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 Cert Guide (Certification Guide) 1st Edition

I needed this book to accompany a course I’m taking this semester. It arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. Thanks.

I initially picked up the McGraw 601 book before realizing I needed to test on 701. Since they don't have one, I went with Pearson's 701.After reading both, I would not recommend this 701 guide. To start, the "Do I know This Already" questions need substantial revision. The incorrect answers are often either joke answers, or more commonly, way shorter than the correct answer (sometimes by up to a page line). This means that you aren't actually gauging if you know the material before reading. If you do want to check your answers, you need to flip to the very back of the book - a difference from both McGraw's 601 and from Pearson's CCNA guide.The content itself is okay, however it suffers from key information being buried in paragraphs with no indicators that you need to clue in on it. Thus, the book becomes more of a "here's a familiarization" rather than a study guide proper. It also tends to take a paragraph to give you a sentence of information. As such, the book feels a lot less substantial than the McGraw version.For the person studying for Sec+, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Hopefully McGraw puts out a 701 guide soon; but for now consider their 601 and supplement with 701 online guides or videos.
