Bang for the buck
Great bang for the buck drone. Its on the "higher end" of what i feel are the "entry level" drones, but not many drones in this price range have the ability to record in 4k- which is a huge part of the appeal of the drone.Big note i want to make: GEPRC has done a great job of updating/upgrading this drone over time. The majority of reviews youll find on the drone (such as those on youtube) are almost all with the older models, so keep this in mind if you start with those reviews. In particular geprc has upgraded the VTXs power output, and the drone is able to put out 400 mw now (used to be 200. You can adjust this down to 25 if desired, important if youre doing a lot of indoor flying to cut back on feedback from too much signal bouncing around off indoor walls), and the drones receiver and controller transmitter have been upgraded, utilizing ELRS nowOne other upgrade Ive found GepRC is doing is theyre recording the gyro data as well with the footage. When you get the SD card out of the drone each video file will have an accompanying named file for that data. You can use a program such as GyroFlow to mash the gyro data and footage together (very easy to use program) to make gyro-stabilized footage, which is super awesome. Also with the new controller, it is still called the "GR8" controller- But its had some changes as well you typically dont see in the old reviews. First up: Youre going to need to buy some battery cells for it. The old ones ran on normal batteries (I think AA- dont quote me on that one). The new ones run on 18650 cells. These are *not* included in the kit unfortunately, and youll need to buy these. On the upside, these batteries are rechargeable, and you can plug the controller in via usb cable to charge it. The new controller also has a bigger antenna (threads on, versus the old "nub" style on the old gr8s) and some extended range because of it (Youll run out of video range long before controller range). One downside however is the switches on the controller are *not* labeled clearly. One is clearly labeled as the arm/disarm switch, but the other 3 are simply Aux 2 through 4. On the old controllers, the 3rd switch is clearly labeled to indicate that it Flip/buzz/normal flight (used to flip the drone over if you land upside down, or cause the drone to buzz/beep if you lose it, or just fly normal), and the 4th right switch is for Angle/Horizon/Full manual mode. On the new GR8 controller, these switches still have the same function, but are simply listed as "Aux 3" and "Aux4".The 2nd switch on either the new or old controller is a "Freebie". Unbound and does nothing. You can easily use a program like Betaflight to program this switch for nearly anything you can think of. I have mine changed to control throttle limits (limiting throttle max indoors to make it easier to fly. for a novice, this drone is quick and can be difficult to control indoors at first). Of note: On the NEW controller, this switch is "aux 2". On the OLD controller, it is labeled as "aux 4".One of the downsides of this drone: The documentation with the drone is bad. Its very limited, and does not detail much at all. For example, for the life of me i could NOT find what the switches did on the new controller. I had to find old reviews that showed the switches to figure out what they did.Either way: Still very happy overall with the drone, even if it took a bit of research to figure it all out a bit properly. For 380~ bucks, youre getting a lot of features in a ready to fly kit.

Best Beginner drone
I'm still figuring it out. Shout out to the other reviewer who posted the new controller profile. Everything is working great. So far my only gripe is it's difficult to insert the SD card into the drone.

Wouldn’t recommend this rtf
This drone has been acting up since I bought it and was really bad with the video feed until it just didn’t show up in my goggles
