Best small gimbal I've used.
I've had a few small gimbals over the years and this is by far the best despite being relatively inexpensive compared to what I've paid in the past.It took me a couple of minutes to figure out why the AI face tracking wasn't working. It was because I was standing in front of a window and the image was obviously blown out, so it couldn't see me properly. As soon as I moved it started working perfectly, and it's really good! It follows you in a fairly natural way and does a good job of keeping you in frame. If you move quickly the camera movements can be a bit sudden, but that's to be expected and it's fine if you move around more slowly. It is possible to have it lose track of you if you move quickly when you're close to it or go behind something but as long as you come back into frame within a few seconds then it sees you again and recovers. All in all it's a brilliant feature and means you can use it with any camera or smartphone camera app you want.I'm mostly using it with my phone, and it's ideal for that. I didn't have to do any manual balancing and it all just works. I can use all of my phone's camera features because I'm not forced to use a special app with the gimbal. For filming other subjects, i.e. not myself it's a joy to hold and to use. Very ergonomic and with controls in convenient places. Movements are smoothed out really nicely, especially in "flashlight mode" and the resulting footage is excellent.I can also use it with my (small) mirrorless camera, and it copes well with that too. However I got it mainly for smartphone use because as a setup it's small, quick and convenient while still giving excellent results. The small display is fantastic for letting you know what's going on. Previous gimbals I've used have been a bit cryptic in that respect. The battery life is easily adequate for anything I need to do, lasting several hours with no problem at all.

Eye / Face tracking works well
Purchased after reading other reviews on the web. Works well when filming video, and friends were impressed with the automatic face tracking feature.

Feiyu SCORP Mini 2: Feature-rich, versatile, great for photo and video
Having spent time with larger gimbal systems and also appreciating the portability of smaller options like the DJI Pocket series, the Feiyu SCORP Mini 2 strikes a good balance between size and functionality. I've been testing it with my Canon R6ii with both a 24-105mm kit lens and a heavier 100-400mm lens, as well as occasional use with my smartphone -the gimbal performed reliably across these setups. Balancing the Canon caused me no problems. There are included plates to cater to cameras, action cameras, and smartphones, such a great addition for the ever growing needs of the enthusiast photographer/videographer.. Vertical shooting was great for creating content for Instagram.I found the setup intuitive, comparable to other gimbals I've used. Pairing with SCORP app unlocks a wider array of features and allows for more specific control over shooting parameters, and is a must in my opinion. The integrated AI tracking module is awesome, with gesture control for initiating and stopping tracking. This proved useful for solo shooting scenarios, I just set up the tripod mount and was able to achieve hands-free tracking as I walked across a scene. The tracking itself was consistent and smooth in my testing and I didn't observe any jerkiness or drooping in the pan.The gimbal's weight and design make it a good candidate for extended use. The secondary handle is genius and such a useful addition to get close to the ground without risking a) your knuckles and b) damaging phone/gimbal. Very ergonomic and in my opinion the best feature so far. Low shots are my favourites throughout photo and video, and are a critical differentiation factor for cinematic quality footage. This lower grip feels more natural and less straining than traditional stick-type gimbals for such perspectives. The control dial on the side offers precise adjustments to tilt, pan, and roll, and the touchscreen interface is clear and easy to navigate.I noticed the "combo" package includes a carry case, fill light, and extension pole, but I think the real value is with the standard package. In summary I love this, it folds down compact too and when used it oozes quality and reliably performs. Excited to keep running it through its paces

Unfortunately no matter what the company claims in the specification…
No matter what the specification claims this unit can operate under. In reality even at 60-70% of the claimed weight it can operate with. It sets the motors to 100% after calibration and struggles to actually operate smoothly. The app is clunky and needs a lot of refinement to be useable.R&D before releasing products is my advice.I think Walter Mitty writes most of the specification and reviews on Amazon Uk.It’s very hard to believe what you read, and actually see it in a product you purchase.Constructive feedback, I have many Feiyu products bought direct from Feiyu that operate as should. The company does ditch product updates within 12-18months on some products.beware.

Good quality versatile gimbal for devices up to 1KG
Review of "Feiyu SCORP Mini 2 Gimbal Stabilizer for Camera/Action Camera.Smartphone,Built-in AI Tracker,Native Vertical Shooting,1200g Payload,Bluetooth Control, for Canon/Sony/Panasonic/Nikon/Fujifilm,Black", currently at £239:Good quality multipurpose gimbal. All the important load bearing parts are matte black metal, it feels very sturdy. It has all kinds of attachments that cover cameras and phones, plus umpteen wires for connecting cameras and phones to the base.It isn't easy to assemble, it is more aimed at the more semi-professional audience, so it takes a while to work it out and get it set up to your tastes, but once done it works well.It is advertised as having a 1200g payload, but IMO that is rather optimistic, if I were using a camera over 1KG, I would go with a larger gimbal.Overall it is a good product, and a great tool for people who want a more professional gimbal solution for their cameras.
