Don't normally go for this kind
Great little sharpener, have tried the magnet and roller type but this takes some beating! And just for a couple of quid

Do not purchase!
Absolute junk, the sharpening side is made from soft steel and the blades are at the wrong angle, the ceramic honing side broke on the first use.

Handy and effective knife sharpener
A surprisingly effective knife sharpener that can be held in the hand easily. Compact enough to easily take on a camping trip or similar and can be hung on a hook for easy access. A good design that it fairly easy to use, just feed the knife blade through the sharpener. Useful and handy.

Convenient handheld sharpener
This knife sharpener is about 6x7.5cm with well-rounded plastic grips, featuring diamond-textured patches on the sides for easy gripping and cross-hatched black rubber pads on top and bottom (although as the sharpener is designed to be flipped over to use each set of 'jaws' in turn, perhaps 'both bottoms' would be a better description) to give it better non-slip qualities when set on a surface. It is easily small enough and without significant protrusions to fit comfortably into a pocket, and comes with a ball chain through a loop hole if you prefer carrying it on a lanyard, belt etc. (perhaps alongside a neck knife or similar). One set of 'jaws' are crossed ceramic rods and the others are a pair of steels, so you can sharpen and hone a blade with just this one tool, although the actual sharpening effectiveness seems a little less impressive than on other similar sharpeners I have used. Overall though, for the convenience and considering the price, this is a very handy little tool to have when out and about or just sitting unobtrusively on a work surface.
