Perfect size and with the light its perfect

The aspheric shape of the lens makes a significant difference compared to old-school biconvex lenses which show distortion. The image with the Carlson magnifier is flat across the entire region, making it a pleasure to use. Also, the lighting is nicely diffused, no hot spots. I can't fault this product. It performs better than magnifier's costing many times as much. This product is superb.If I had to nitpick, I'd say it ought to come with a cloth cover, like the Carlson non-illuminated one does. But even with that nitpick, this product gets a 10/10 from me.

Wonderful Quality with non distorted image. My eyes have undergone significant damage and a decade of surgeries which left my corneas warped and irregular so the fact that this magnifying lense works wonderfully for me is significant.

Perfect size for my needs and the quality of the Aspheric Lens is excellent. The LED lights with two brightness settings are especially useful as they are distributed around the lens. Best magnifier I have ever had.

UPDATE: After using this glass for two weeks, there seems to be a problem with the light switch. The dimmer of the two illuminations works fine, but when I toggle to the brighter light, I have to keep my thumb on the switch for the brighter light to continue to work. So, the 2-power light still works but I reliably.—————-Old eyes sometimes need help, and this provided what I was looking for. Easy to manipulate, convenient 2-power light, sufficient magnification for maps, light reading, etc. Just install two AAA batteries (not provided) and help is in the palm of your hand.
