One of the best books I’ve read

Slow read that truly touches your heart. Gives you hope and you can emphatize with others after this read.

It is a beautifully written book - it talks about dreams, challenges and most importantly how people come together - the beauty is in its simplicity and how well the author connects it all . It is a different book - a small one that reconnects love for life in bits and pieces.

The book is lovely but the three stars are for the quality. As seen in the pic, some of the pages are torn. Unfortunately I didn't notice until i reached this page while reading and I can't return it as I already discarded the packaging. Disappointed.

This book is my favorite among all the books I've ever read. Even if I might like hundred more in the future, the love for this book will remain unchanged. It is like my comfort food for the soul. I've read a softcopy before, wanted to keep a hard copy, that's why I ordered... this book indirectly touches the parts of my soul which I might not otherwise address directly...The words poetically tear through the cracks of my torn soul and gives a warmth I can't describe in words. I am really really grateful a book like this exists on this planet. I hope it warms many more souls like mine. It is like a tight hug to everyone who's being pushed and pulled in the rat race and harsh expectations of the society

The book revolves around second chances and beautifully itches our constant desire to pivot toward peaceful living. Its short chapters, told from different characters’ perspectives, make Hyunam-Dong Bookshop a perfect comfort read.Themes such as divorce, career choices, loneliness, and depression are addressed with wisdom and maturity. The author makes the characters and their reflections real and relatable, showing how much courage it takes for them to venture out in a direction that is against societal norms.Through its visitors, Hyunam-Dong Bookshop reminds us that it’s okay to slow down and find our own unique path.This is not a book to be read anywhere or anytime, as it requires a peaceful environment to be fully enjoyed. I believe there comes a time when one gravitates towards such reads. The question is, can you be a patient reader? If so, it is time to enter the cosy world of Hyunam-Dong Bookshop.

Loved all aspects of the book except that it seems to have missed out a vital factor on book stores which lose out vis a vis books purchased on kindle … just wonder why this wasn’t included
