āProgrammingā is an insane FUBAR situation
If you arenāt buying this to have it sent to your boatās āHomeā this is an exercise in frustration and futility. Apparently, the stupid device is not programmable by the end user, so you have to find someone to reprogram the thing with the proper data, otherwise youāll be violating the law, and may not get rescued if your boat sinks. WTF?!? š³I donāt understand why the end user canāt just program the stupid thing with the proper information, and go sailing safely. š”
