I absolutely love this purchase. Arrived quickly and well packed, and is really easy to put together. I say this as someone who is terrible at putting stuff up - once you work out what goes where, it's a doddle and took me about an hour. It is large, and looks fantastic, perfect for a modern flat. I was a bit concerned as I didn't particularly want to fix it to the wall and other reviews say you should. I haven't, and it's absolutely fine. I say this as someone who lives on their own though, wouldn't do it if you have children as it could be pulled over pretty easily. No chips or damage with mine, it's just great.

Extremely pleased with this bookcase - just the size, shape, colour and finish I wanted but had been unable to find previously. Despite its height and colour it doesn't dominate the room because the design is so elegant - you'll get a Terence Conran look at a fraction of the price. Yes it's veneer-covered chipboard but well-engineered, very sturdy and practical too - plenty of space on the shelves. It's very easy to put together (all the fixings are supplied including wall brackets) but heavy enough to need two people to lift it. I had problems with late delivery (not the fault of the supplier, who handled my concerns with courteous and quick efficiency) otherwise this would have scored a 5.

Goes together well... But does not look good...in fact it looks the price it is.

Looks great. Slim design and very sturdy. Easy to assemble and fixes to the wall for safety. It arrived ahead of time.

Impressive and stylish when assembled and in place. Questionable whether or not it can be described as free-standing. Which is probably why it comes with small brackets to fix it to the wall. So you will need raw plugs and a drill. That aside, this bookcase adds to a room.

Good quality. Easy to assemble. Looks very nice & modern.

Arrived days before it was due. Easy to put together and looks great. Money well spent.
