Double duty as a WIDE mouth clamp
Bought 2 of these and came up with a way to convert them into a hand clamp with one huge jaw opening. I secured the clamps tightly to their base using an 3/16" hex key, then mounted the 2 bases back-to-back to each other using a fully threaded 1/2" bolt, a 1/2" ID washer and a 1/2" threaded coupler. The clamping range is pretty wide and the pressure is adjustable. Granted...it's an expensive clamp, but it gives this bench clamp a 2nd use when you're in a pinch and you need a really wide mouth hand clamp.

Broke after a few uses
After using the clamp a few times, it jammed and would not fully close or lock down. I tried to adjust the tension with little success. Likewise, I spent a while trying to figure out what was jamming it. Finally, I decided to slide off the rubber handle cover to see if something was hung up in the spring mechanism. When I did, a metal tab fell out. I tried opening and closing it a few times to see where it came from and if it was working again. Two or three tries at this and suddenly it literally fell apart. Pieces hit the floor and rolled everywhere. I gathered up what I could find and included a photo. Unfortunately, the return period had expired. It's a shame as it's a very handy clamp and there doesn't seem to be anything quite like it from a competitor.UPDATE: Kreg customer service is amazing! I contacted them via their website and they promptly shipped me a replacement clamp. No questions asked. I received it within a few days. The new clamp works great. Hopefully my experience with the first one was a random manufacturing defect. As I mentioned, the bench clamp is very useful and nothing else on the market does quite the same thing.

Love Kreg Products
Just recently added dog holes to my work bench and this thing is amazing. True Kreg quality as expected holds tight and and at many different heights. Swivels or can tighten to make it stationary. Recommend if you have 3/4 inch dog holes.

FYI the clamp arrived in a bubble wrap paper envelope, which had torn open, I imagine, because of the weight. The package was not sturdy enough. I am surprised parts were not missing. However, it did arrive ahead of schedule, and I love it

Like having an extra pair of hands!
easy to install. Great for holding down your projects while you're working. Especially great when you have a workbench top that is against a wall and can't take clamps. Fighting the urge to get a few more.
