Hi I think you would be better off getting a special scratch product as this is just a wax .it wouldn't penetrate the laquer coating .

Q: Is there much difference between antique brown and rugger brown?

I can't honestly say what / if there is a big difference between those two colours and I've only used the Antique brown. The polish itself is very good and buffs up well to leaving a great shine. I use the Antique brown on an already "antique" looking polished table and it looks the same afterwards so if you want a darker finish perhaps go for the darker polish. It may help on a new lighter wood to somewhat darken it?

I use 'antique brown' for pine furniture - it is a darkish honey colour - the colour of antique pine. Fiddes wax is also very soft and easy to apply.

Q: Is this okay to use on an oak veneer radiator cover?

If the veneer is still raw (does not have any varnish or lacquer already applied) then this will be perfect. If it does, you'd have to remove the varnish/lacquer first before applying the wax.
