I used to love my old tamagotchi 4.5 as a kid and now here I am buying tamagotchi uni as an adult as a late Christmas present for myself. 🤣 The box came looking a little bit suspicious with some extra tape on top. I am thinking this was just added as an extra protection and I hope that nobody was already opening this before me. Everything works really well, the sound could be a little bit better but we can only expect so much from such a small device. The price does match the product value to some extent. There is a lots of upgrades compared to last releases and the device can connect to wifi which brings a lot of new possibilities and the developers are still working on updates and are sending free item gifts (which is so cool!!) because of the wifi being on. However, I got this for a half price and I am honestly not sure if I would be willing to pay the full price for this. Nevertheless, I am very happy with my purchase! I also love the colours in the game and the fact you can completely turn off the sound or change the brightness.

I couldn’t resist getting the TAMAGOTCHI for my 8-year-old daughter, and it’s been a trip down memory lane for me. This new generation of the iconic 90s virtual pet is packed with customisable features, blending the charm of the original with modern upgrades. My daughter loves the vibrant 'purple pet'. It’s an interactive experience that keeps her entertained while teaching her about responsibility and nurturing - which we've had to do a few times over since she's still learning how to actually keep them alive. LOLThe wearable design is a big hit, and the electronic game is simple enough for her to navigate independently. The customisation options, from the pet’s appearance to its accessories, are great and lets her express her creativity. 🎮💜🐾

A nice gift for one of our daughters. She soon picked it up and got to grips with it, despite being only 6.She soon knew all the settings, modes, menus and how to look after the 'pet'. It has been something she regularly checks to ensure it has been fed, is happy and checks the social updates etc.Graphics are pretty good, the display is nice and you have several different rooms. The pet seems to start as an egg, grow up, have a best friend, then marry and then have a new egg. The cycle then seems to repeat.Battery life seems to last a week or so between charges.Sometimes there could be a bit of anxiety should the pet be left at a relatives house or when daughter has been at school and not fed the pet in the morning for example.Saying that it seems very forgiving so we've not had any tears yet.Alternative strap purchased which can be worn around the neck is a much better solution compared to the wrist strap.For me the graphics are a little small. Buttons are also small and spongy but work well enough.Daughter is happy. So a good pressie.

Can’t charge, can’t open, can’t play!

This was my first ever tamagotchi purchase and naturally I went for the newest release, there are some obvious issues with this device but I’ll get into those a little later.Positive part of the review;This tamagotchi is a perfect little device for virtual pet lovers, it’s cute and has quite a few little features that really make the experience enjoyable, I’ve had the device for a few days now and have been non stop checking on my little tama.They go to bed at a good time and wake at a good time too, you can send your tama to the sitter if you’ll be busy with school / work or other things, you must pick your tama up before 6pm otherwise they’ll be upset with you.My issues with this tamagotchi;This tamagotchi came scratched straight out of the box, upon googling it appears most if not all of the tamagotchi uni devices come scratched lightly. the battery life is not that great, I have to charge it everyday sometimes twice. the plastic doesn’t feel all that great either.Overall it is a fantastic device and would recommend, personally I would wait for them to be cheaper on a sale but that is really up to you on what you value the tamagotchis.
