Great umbrella. Took it on a Disney vacation in Florida and it was raining a lot. Fit inside of my small backpack perfectly. Opens and closes quickly and seems durable. Definitely 5 stars. The only thing I would change would be to make the handle loop a little bigger for us guys with bigger hands. It’s a small umbrella so you need that loop if the wind catches it due to the small profile the handle. Which in not a problem as long as you have the loop on. I wish they made some bigger ones because I would buy one.

The media could not be loaded. To be completely honest, I would give this a 4.5 star if I could, but I'm rounding up to 5 because I think a lifetime guarantee is a great bonus. Now for the details of the review!Overall, I think this is a great umbrella so far. It's compact, and I love the auto open/close feature. Note that the auto close is only to unlock the canopy, it does not retract by itself. So after you press the close button, you will need to push the handle down manually to compact it. This is not a big deal imo, and much better than having to do it all manually. The auto open does fully expand the handle and the canopy, so the only manual part is closing the handle.I would dock this half a star because the first time I used it, I was at the beach, and the wind basically immediately turned it inside out. It only did it once though when the rain had first started and the wind was insane, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt because beach wind is strong! I feel like it will likely be fine as long as you're not in some crazy ass wind lol.I really love the pattern/image too, it's very pretty and good quality, not blurry. I think I'd like it if the pattern was also on the outside, but I don't mind that it's only on the underside- I'd like it either way in this particular pattern but they have other patterns where I think it's cuter having it be just in the inside, it kind of makes it like just for you!I'm not sure yet how it will hold up over time but I'll update my review if anything changes!

A compact travel umbrella that is easy to carry. The material repels water, and I've found it dries quicker compared to other, cheaper umbrellas. It opens with a single button push, which is convenient when exiting a vehicle in a rain.What I think stands out the most about Tumella is their customer service. The original product I received actually had one of its ribs break within a month of use, likely a manufacturing defect. But once I contacted their customer service via email, they made good on the warranty and overnighted a replacement after confirming the details. They even got back to my email within 24 hours on a weekend, which was a welcome surprise (a shout out to my assigned agent Genette for the timely assistance).While I haven't held onto the replacement umbrella long enough to test its long-term durability, the superb quality of customer service I experienced was enough to push it to the "recommended" territory. Might come back to add to the review if a new issue develops after longer use.

This umbrella is a good purchase. Definitely wind resistant. My biggest complaint is it doesn't open as big as I thought it would and if you're using it when it's steadily raining the amount of water that drips off the end is pretty significant. Which matters if you're sharing it with someone, because if they're not close to you, the water dripping will end up dripping on them. Price wise though, I think it's a steal. In the past I've paid more money for inferior umbrellas. This brand will be my go to from now on. For me and for gifts.It opens so quickly and truly with one push of the button. I've operated it one-handed several times already. Closing it does take two hands. Make sure you press the button that you press to open it and then push down from the top of the umbrella. You can't grab it and then try to pull it down. I would definitely purchase it.

1.) Upon the first opening of the umbrella, the material is like a rigid plastic and not nylon as you would expect. Why this matters: it opens just fine, however it doesn't retract and fold up nicely as you would expect. Once it has been opened, the folding is bulky.2.) The retraction is not as advertised, it does have a slight inverse motion towards the original shape, however, it requres manipulating a lot to store it. This does not align with what I would consider "Automatic Folding".The seller offered me a refund but that is not what I wanted. I hope this review will give you the opportunity to improve your product. I changed this to five stars because they went above and beyond expectations. I will keep the item no refund needed.

After researching umbrellas I purchased 2 Tumella umbrellas in December of 2024. I was impressed with their having been developed in a European climate requiring an umbrella that was highly wind resistant, watertight and opening and closing automatically and swiftly. This seemed to be a perfect match for the New England weather in which I have lived for 65 years. After a couple of months of light use one of the umbrellas started to have an issue with the closing mechanism. I contacted the customer support via email and received a reply from Arvie within 24 hours with a few questions and suggestions. After submitting a video and further explanation of the problem Arvie informed me that a replacement would be on its way within days. In less than a few days a new umbrella arrived .These umbrellas are at a very reasonable price point with a lifetime warranty and construction that is very impressive. Customer service is at a level that just doesn’t exist anymore, or so I thought. Thank you Arvie and your team at Tumella . Keep up the superb service !
