Kipper Collection (Friendship Tails / Imagine That! / Water Play / Kipper Helps Out)

We had to get this because our then 2-year-old loves Kipper, and we had just one dvd ('Fun in the Sun'). For the price of one Kipper dvd, you get this box set, which has two double-sided dvds in it. It's 24 'episodes' of Kipper for under $7!! Our now 2 1/2 year old loves Kipper so much that she calls the rest of us by Kipper's friends' names: I'm Pig, papa is Tiger, and her older brother (who also loved Kipper when he was younger) is Arnold, though she has learned to not call him Arnold when he is around. We've also had to limit her Kipper watching, as she is getting addicted, and asks for it everyday....If you don't know Kipper, but are looking for something for your toddler, this is perfect. It's especially good for kids that haven't had much exposure to television. The animation is simple and it is not too action packed. There is not too much background art to overwhelm your little one. There was just one scene (that had a dragon) that scared my niece when she was this age, but she really was not exposed to any tv or videos before that. My daughter didn't get scared at all from that scene (she has seen more advanced videos, due to having an older brother).

So much Kipper! My daughter loves Kipper, and we love him, too! Short (less than 10 minute) episodes make for easy breaks in viewing, plus they are just nice little dogs playing and exploring. AND, if your child watches enough Kipper, they will start to sound like a little British child! "Do you want this? It's ever so soft." How cute is that??? Seriously, this is probably the BEST thing as far as toddler shows. It's nice and calm to listen to, encourages creativity and make believe, and it's fun re-enacting the scenes over and over and over and over again. This is also a great price for 4 shows. It's 2 DVDs in one package, so there is an "A" side and a "B" side, but it's not really clear which is which... and I think one of ours is backwards, but oh well. Love it anyway.

I remember watching this as a kid in the 1990s and I loved watching it. The theme song to it was really cool and every episode they did of this show had plenty of things that I could relate to as a kid. Having fun with friends, spending time with family you got along with a lot, learning new things that we didn't know how to do at first and figured out how to do them on our own. The characters in this were memorable, the adventures in this made me think of how I played with my friends and others as a kid, there's a lot from this cartoon I could relate to in Kipper The Dog. This is a piece of history gold.

For the disc to not be original copy The quality is great I recommend it to anyone who loves kipper the dog. The videos are getting harder to find for a decent price.

Kipper the dog is the star of this cartoon with his friends Tiger and Jake (dogs) and Pig and Arnold (pigs). Kipper is kind, clever and gentle. The show is fanciful. Kipper befriends aliens, a robot, climbs a rainbow, meets a wish granting, talking frog, uses balloons to float up to the clouds, etc. kipper has more realistic type fun too, like going to the beach and the neighborhood pool.My daughter is 3 now and has liked Kipper for a couple of years. We put this on to help her wind down, it is very mellow. My husband and I both enjoy it too. We have the entire collection

where would we be without our kipper. Our 2 year old LOVES the shows and the characters, They are his friends and he talks about them when he is playing with other toys. My husband and I love the show far more than any of our other favorites. They don't get annoying after repeated viewing, really. The animation and the jazz background music are calm. The dialogue is perfect--not too much, not too little, The characters are endearing. No heavy, overbearing lessons. The goodness and fullness of the characters do all a child's story should. Martin Clunes is the voice of Kipper--a real actor!. I want to give this 10 stars!

I picked this up at our library thinking that it seemed harmless enough. Granted, there's MUCH worse out there but some things to be aware of: A couple of the stories have ghosts and magic--as in a magic lamp that grants wishes. In this segment, the two little dogs are thrust into a strange land with a fire-breathing dragon--my 5-yr-old was afraid of him.The positives are that the characters are sweet and calm, I loved the little hamster named Roly Poly so if you're not bothered by the above mentioned items it's fine. Right now my daughter is too young to even understand what a "ghost" is (she thinks it's just another made-up creature). There was a dress-up segment, but no mention of Halloween (although dressing up as a "spooky ghost" came up again).I found the British accents to be annoying; but that's just me.

I ADORE these episodes - and so does my 2-year old. Kipper is a sweet and funny little dog - gentle and kind with his friends and various other animals that cross his path. The image field is incredibly simple - just a few lines here and there to indicate the surroundings. This is such a relief after the visual assault of so many other kids programs! The background music is jazz-inspired and complements the stories without overwhelming them. Most of all, I love the sweet but very subtle message in these about being kind or gentle or adventurous but a little cautious. 100% recommended!!!!

My daughter(3 years) has fallen in love with Kipper! A quiet, well mannered cartoon dog and all his animal friends! Grabs her attention every time(and she is one busy girl, who loves animals!!!)I also love these stories. Nice and calm. No whiny voices. Beautiful set!

We love kipper and this set is great value for money. perfect for quiet watching for my 2 and 4 year olds.

Thought this was a book, so was surprised to receive a DVD, I guess it wasn't that clear on the website when I ordered this product. Nevertheless, I am sure my son will love it for Christmas
