Glad I chose this
Zero problems, dead silent in operation, small footprint, Chrome OS can have limited app selection but meets my needs.

Seamless integration. Easy set up.
This review is specifically for the device I bought. Here is my item description. "ASUS Chromebox 5 with Intel® Core i5-1240P Processor, 8GB Memory"I have this paired with a Logitech wireless keyboard and plugged into my Sony TV through the HDMI, and could not be happier. The one minor adjustment I made was to dumb down the stock resolution of the device, a 30 second effort. This replaced a chrome stick that I had used previously. This is my second attempt with a Chromebox unit and now I am completely satisfied. I had a previous bad experience using another brand where the keyboard was not compatible with the device. I now thoroughly trust and recommend the ASUS Brand in particular.

Great solution
My personal PC is a non updated Windows 7 that I have had for over a decade and I will ride it into the ground. Unfortunately, I have been stuck with a Windows 10 PC for work that I absolutely hate. Takes forever to be usable after boot, wonky updates and just the overall unpleasantness of the W10 environment was driving me bonkers. I had thought about the Chrome Box as a solution for a while and the only regret I have is that I didn't get it sooner. It's ready to go instantly upon start up, handles multiple tabs and streaming with ease with no janky Windows nonsense. As an added bonus, it has a Linux interface that will allow you to install non native programs like Signal. Initially, I couldn't be more pleased.

Great for Internet use
Got this for my 85 year old dad who just lives on the internet. He has a larger monitor and separate keyboard and mouse from his PC. I was getting tired of constantly cleaning out viruses or reinstalling Windows from his constant virus and adware contamination. No matter what anti-virus software or user setting his PCs constantly were getting compromised. He didn't want a Chromebook, cause of the setup, but a Chromebox seemed like it'd be worth a try. Apple products seemed like overkill for his needs.6 months in and no problem with any malware or performance. We're all happy.

Great when it works, but not reliable hardware and terrible warranty options
I love Chromeboxes and Asus works great when it works, but Asus is not reliable. Purchased an Asus Chromebox 5 in October of 24, 8 months later it stopped working properly due to hardware issues. The only Asus support options are mail it in for repairs for 2+ weeks or drive it to repair shop 38 miles away for repairs for 2+ weeks. It's not realistic or serious support to expect customers to operate in our modern world without their computer for 2+ weeks. When it's hardware issues on a device less than a year old and still under warranty, return and replacement should be the option.

Great device but not reliable
I purchased this to provide a browser option for a TCL Roku TV. Chrome OS is perfect for this and when it works, this Chromebox does an excellent job of handling video, sound, access to email and other browser-centric functions. However, I've had two fail shortly after receiving them. The first one worked fine with a wifi connection but the ethernet port was unreliable and wouldn't hold a stable connection. I returned it to Amazon, got another, which worked fine for two weeks until the screen went black. Rebooting and other attempts to get it working failed. I've returned this one and will be installing my third ASUS Chromebox. Let's hope third one works like a charm. I will say that Amazon's return policies make replacement easy. I did a chat with ASUC support -- took a bit of effort to find how to do a support chat on ASUS's web site -- but they suggested sending it in for service, which would have left me without a device for an unknown period of time.

Good value for a simple PC to access the internet.
I bought this for my mother in law (89 years old) to use as a simple internet terminal for accessing internet news sites, email, Facebook, Amazon, etc. I used it with the large monitor, mouse, and keyboard from her old Windows PC, so she doesn't have to contend with the small screens and cramped keyboards of a typical inexpensive Chromebook. Now I don't have to worry about antivirus programs, OS updates, or malware getting accidentally installed. Has plenty of memory, more than fast enough for her purposes. I was also able to get it to work with an existing Brother laser printer, and new Canon scanner. Just plugged those two things into the USB ports, and they worked. So she can also copy and print documents.
