Truly excellent for the price, & an accurate representation of the monument.
For such little money you would not really expect anything of serious educational value, but this miniature representation of one of the western worlds greatest ancient monuments is remarkably accurate.Real care has been taken to produce stones of accurate height and dimensions, with the jigsaw base representing the grassy area of Salisbury plain really well. The real star of this package is the highly informative 31 page booklet written by someone with real knowledge of the different phases of the circles construction, really the booklet is very good indeed and simplifies the different phases of the temples construction for everyone to enjoy.Once you see the actual model built in front of you and take time to read the booklet, you will realise this is not a child's toy,but an educational model, and having compared ariel photographs of the monument this model is a very accurate representation of the real thing. For well under £5 this model and booklet represents incredible value, and really it could cost a fair bit more and still be excellent value.I was so impressed that I bought another to send to a history mad 8 yr old who lives in Canada,I will be very surprised if he is not equally impressed as I was.

'Tis a magic place ...
As some have already observed, it is small - the board is 17cm in diameter and the the trilithons (the tallest pieces) are about 4cm tall. The stones are made of solid resin so they have a reasonable amount of weight to them and are not unacceptably unstable. It is not crude but neither is it an especially detailed or accurate scale model, however an effort has been made to make an acceptable likeness of the real thing. The biggest disappointments are that the fallen stones are only printed on the base board(no model stones for these) and the whole model only includes the sarsen ring and what is enclosed by it (except the bluestones, but on this scale they would only be about 1cm tall) - so no heel stone, slaughter stone or station stones. I suppose there's only so much detail you can expect for £8.00.Still, a pretty cool thing to have.

Easy to make and it looks great when complete. My grandson really loved putting it together. Would buy again.

Great wee set for a family project or one to do on your own
Great wee set with added book on history. I bought this during summer lockdown to coincide with a project I was doing with my kids. I found it to be a great wee set and my kids really enjoyed creating their own replica of the famous stone henge. Great wee added extra if you fancy doing a nice wee project with your kids or on your own. Great value for money with a nice wee keepsake that's small but if put together with glue is long lasting. Highly recommended

Great little thing
Great little thing. My 7 year old had to make a model for his homework and this was spot on. Also has a little book about stonehenge. Definitely worth the money. We used Glue Dots to stick it down. I also glued the (jigsaw) base to a piece of cardboard with a pritt stick and it looked very good.
