After several months of using this box is still great even the acrylic is thin and you need to be careful not to put anything on top of the box. It protects my model from dust very well. Easy to clean

I love this case. It protects my one and only 1:18 die-cast car well. It was even big enough that I could keep the car in the box

Update: If I could return it, I would! It's so flimsy and scratches easily! The lid is difficult to fit into the base slots. You have to wiggle it until the tops fits into the slots. It gets dirty easily and it's hard to clean due to the flimsy sides. I ended up buying a glass case. This plastic case is a waste of money! Don't buy it!It's okay, not great, but not horrible. It's a bit flimsy even after it's put together. Once I got the sides attached to the top, it wasn't to difficult to put together. Just need to be patient with the tiny pieces. They do give extra at least. I wish there was a notch in the base for a power cord. I was able to still put the top on over the cord. The top is difficult to get into the slots in the base. They don't line up perfectly without manually working it into the slots. The sides of base should be painted better. Black flakes come off from the sides of the base. This case will do until I can find something better. This was the exact size that I needed.

It's acrylic...It's not scratch resistant. It's flimsy but not any more than one would expect, because it's thin acrylic... If you're looking for sturdy and resistant to scratches, seek other options.But I knew all that already as I've purchased a variety of these over time to display Lego figures of varying dimensions. It does display nicely for what it is.Assembly is easy. Plastic brackets, sleeves and push pins. Mine was short 4 sleeves but had 20 extra pins. Little quality control might fix that, but since I had spares from previous cases, I could finalize.As someone mentioned, I did have to wiggle the sides in a bit to get it to seat. First time having that issue on these. Sounds like dimensions can vary a little, but it still works for my application. May the force be with you...

I wanted something of quality because it's to "house" a very special item: my husband. After 56 years, he passed away. Don was a champion speed skater in the late 50s -- oh, he was so beautiful to watch on the ice! -- and took real good care of his original beloved speed skates over all these years. So I decided, after his cremation, to put him back in his skates where he belongs. If you know skating, then you know that the blades on speed skates are extremely long, longer than figure skates and MUCH longer than hockey skates, such that I could find nothing to fit over them. While this display case was VERY expensive, it was the last that I could do for Don, so I wanted it to be really nice. And it is. I have it on a little chest in the hallway upstairs between the bedrooms where I can greet him on a regular basis. No one (in the "public") sees him there, just me; otherwise, I think they may be horrified. I really doin't care, though; it's so much better than planting his body in the ground, to get wet and cold and rotten. And he's still with me; I get to talk to him when I need his support. It's a very good thing.

Do not purchase! Does not go together. Clips do not fit! We worked on this for days! I would give it no stars! The case was chipped and would n ok t go together. Worse item I have purchased in a long time. Complete waste of money.
